Chapter 7 - Mr. Zulu

VINCENT'S POV

Taking her to bed without offering any benefit isn't a good thing from my side, when it comes to that I'm really owing her so I made an offer hoping she would stop with the nonsense talk but she was proving so stubborn that I decided to know what her confidence is all about, I wanted to know how she can stop me from doing what I want to do, I just wanted to teach her that she's a woman that's meant to be submissive. How dare she initiate a breakup with me, something I know many women would die for. When I said that fucking her was a reason to disrespect her, I never meant to say that but if she's expecting an apology then she would die waiting. I have no plan to hurt or force myself on her, I just wanted her to behave. When she placed that knife on her wrist, for the first time in my life, I was terrified. What does she mean by choosing to die instead of letting me have another chance with her. I didn't hear the things she said next as I was looking at her dumbfounded. Eventually I got off her, wore my shoes, picked up my suit and left her apartment while still processing what had just happened. This could be the biggest experience of my life. I haven't gone far when something landed on my back making me turn around in time to see her door getting shut. I looked down and saw my belt on the floor, I picked it up only to realize that it had been cut into two. My God, that knife was pretty sharp, was she really going to cut her wrist with it? I wondered as I left.

TAMARA'S POV

After the incident with Vincent, I went to work the following morning. As I'm about to enter the company's gate, I heard a beep beep sound behind me. I turned and saw a black SUV car that was about to enter. I stood aside for it to pass and it drove half way into the compound and stopped. The passenger seat window winned down and I saw someone I don't want to see, President Zulu of Sanchez. I was going to pretend that I didn't see him and continue going my way but unfortunately for me he called me before I could go far.

Tamara Hayes, he called me and I turned towards him. Can I ask you a question? He said to me, so I had to go closer to know what he wanted to ask me.

Good day president Zulu, I greeted him as I reached his car.

Good day dear, how are you doing today, he greeted back.

I'm good, I replied.

It's been a long time, I have really missed you, we didn't have the opportunity to exchange contact during the last meeting, do you mind giving me your contact info now? He asked.

It's there something you need? I asked back.

I just want to take you out one of these days, maybe take you shopping and all that, he answered.

Oh, I really appreciate it but I'm not interested, let me get going, I'm running late to work, I said to him.

Ok, see you in the evening, he said before I could even turn to leave. I don't know what he meant by seeing me in the evening but I didn't think much about it. As I'm entering the company I realized that everyone was looking at me. This is a rush hour and many people are just coming to work so they all saw me talking with President Zulu. That reminds me of the picture that circulated earlier, another one will start circulating soon. Sure enough, during lunchtime as I went to use the bathroom some workers this time around were openly pointing fingers at me. When I got back to my desk I began to check my phone for new updates. I found nothing on Whatsapp, I entered Instagram to pass some time without knowing that that's where the real gist is now taking place. The first video I saw left me speechless. That was me and president Zulu this morning but it has been edited so much that I myself would have believed it if I wasn't the one involved. In the video, it appears as if we were happily conversing and I was even smiling. The whole conversation was muted except for the part where he said "see you in the evening" . It seemed as if I was lingering until he said that and I happily left. The caption on it says love knows no boundaries. I entered the comment section and people were already making bad comments about me. There were comments like

@.She thinks she can step on the wife just because she's younger, she needs to be thought a lesson

@.A pretty face with an evil heart, what a waste

@.Shameless generation

@.Mrs Zulu isn't to be trifled with, she will definitely pay her a visit.

I checked and the post has already been reposted severally because of Mr Zulu's popularity. I wanted to do something but found out that lunch break is over so I got back to work. As soon as it was closing time there was commotion outside the company. Knowing what was happening, I gathered my things, entered the restroom and locked the door. I opened my iPad and began to type, soon I found what I was looking for. I dialed my friend's line. Sophie has an account with a massive fan base so I would need her help. As soon as the call connected her query flowed in.

Hey, I have been waiting for you to get off work so that I can call you, what is this I'm seeing on IG? She queried.

They're fake, I have got the original, do you mind posting them for me? I replied.

You have got the original? What are you waiting for? DM me immediately, she requested and I gave her a bravo before ending the call.

When I came out of the restroom, I bumped into someone.
