He paused for a moment... holy shit, those stats were high. The gap between Legendary and Master was vast, like fucking vast.
How could he describe this? Let's say Katakuri was a Master in Armament Haki and so was Kairo... if it was only Armament Haki, Kairo would dogwalk the living fuck out of this donut-loving motherfucker.
A way to say it: just because someone was a Yonko commander doesn't mean they will stalemate each other. One of them will clearly be able to one-shot the other. Just because Gecko Moria and Mihawk were Warlords didn't mean they were of equal strength.
Anyway, all of this to say: while Kairo could see some of his stats matched against Kaido, he knew for a fact that Kaido would whoop his ass harder than he did Gear 4 Luffy that one time.
Though what surprised him was Kaido's low mastery of his fruit. He expected to see Legendary... though he guessed the fruit was stagnating a bit since Kaido's will didn't align with its own.
It was a protector, and Kaido was anything but a protector. Kairo also guessed that Expert was the level hybrid transformation was unlocked, Master was being on the cusp of awakening the Devil Fruit, and Legendary was true control over the fruit... or some shit like that. He didn't know.
Maybe Zoans worked differently. He didn't know. Maybe an awakening could happen at any stage, or when the fruit awakened, it went back to Adept since, you know, you have to get used to the new power.
So confusing.
