Chapter 61 - Monitor's team end

"So whoever agrees for all of us to teleport to the underground Cardinal, raise their hand." All five of them had stood around each other in a small circle.

Everyone except Alice raised their hands.

Liam said happily, "It's decided then. Jorge, I will send you the location near their fortress."

Alice stayed silent as Jorge drew a circle with a star in the middle of it on the ground.

"To teleport all five of us, I must use this formation. One by one, we will be teleported. I will start with our strongest. First, Alice and Tifany, you can go." George explained his magic going through the symbol on the ground.

Alice walked on the circle. "Tifany will be the last one; you guys still need a guard. I will check the area first."

Blue lights rose from the circle, swallowing Alice's figure. Liam stepped in the circle next. "I should be the next one."

George wanted to send Nora next, but he didn't dare to oppose Liam.

Before he could activate his magic, Tifany screamed, "Someone is coming."

His eyes looked all around; to their right, a figure was moving toward them with such speed that only its shadow could be seen.

With no hesitation, Tifany activated her ring; thousands of golden spears came out of a portal in the sky, all charging toward the figure.

"Send me, damn it." Although Liam was a Cardinal too, he had never pursued fighting.

Spears destroyed the ground and the small figure all together. Nora said with a shaky voice, "It had no blood..."

"Because that wasn't me." Katarina kicked Nora's head with her full strength; with her cross active, her leg crushed any bones and flesh in her head.

"The healer is down, now the supports." Before Tifany could react, her hand penetrated Jorge's chest, taking out anything on its way out.

Liam fell backwards. "Please, don't kill me..."

Tifany jumped on the spear in her hand, but instead of attacking Katarina, she flew toward the nearest entrance in hope of escape.

Katarina's eyes fell on the pathetic man on the ground; the smell of urine disgusted her. "How are you even a Cardinal?"

"Please, my parents are rich; I will give you anything you want."

"Actually I want something from you." His mind had fallen to a level that Katarina didn't need to kill him even. Her mind devoured all of his consciousness at once.

"2 out of five."

Katarina teleported herself to the entrance that Tifany had gone to. "Although she is not that strong, I can't let her be at Alice's side," she said.

Her blink allowed her to teleport herself to any place that she could see, with a 30 second cooldown.

"One minute remains until my cross power runs out; I can catch her before that." She ran in the tunnels as her mind scanned all the areas around her; her heat still remained in the air, with the small trace Katarina followed her.

After another blink, she came to her sight. "Don't run, little bird."

Tifany increased her speed, but her speed compared to Katarina was like a hawk to a rocket.

"What the hell is her magic? She is such a strength and makes allusions to that level..." She cursed as her legs left her spear and jumped on the ground.

Her ring activated again due to it not charging completely; only a hundred spears charged to Katarina.

"Not only sentinel beings have their own thoughts, but any object in the world has some sort of thought to it; many can't understand it, but for me it's like the voices I hear in my head." Katarina observed the objects in the air; each one had one place at their target that they thought about.

With the cross powers running out, her strength returned to her normal state, but even so, she dodged all the flying objects with minimum movement needed.

Cold sweat covered Tifany's skin; usually in their fights, Alice would take the front, and she would support her from long range. As a level 3, she still had a long way to grow too.

With a blink, Katarina teleported herself to her back. Her spear tried to block her, but it stopped in the air by Katarina's hand. Holding it in the air, her other hand punched her face; a few teeth were broken, but she continued to punch her without any mercy.

Tifany left the spear and fell on her knees; her mind couldn't work properly with all the pain and the blood on her eyes. One of her eyes couldn't see at all.

Her spear got broken easily by Katarina's hands. "Your first mistake was to let Alice let you stay; from the start she knew I was near you guys."

"She ... will kill ... you."

"I like to see her try." Katarina finished her job with another kick to her face. All life left the small body on the ground.

"Now three Cardinals remain, with all of them being level 5; the main fight should start from now on."

She continued on her path; almost half of the participants had already died. She hoped to clear the remaining ones before engaging with Alice.

"From the beginning, she knew her team was pure trash, so she wanted to make an alliance with the underground Cardinals; with her team dead, they will accept her easily." Katarina felt enthusiastic about the future; from the first second, this place had turned into a chess game between her and Alice.

"I wonder what Ray is doing."

With five illusions of herself, her mind roamed around all the tunnels, looking for any human left. Everyone had their guards up, but still no one could be a threat to her.

"For the next few days, I have to finish the rest and group up with Ray." Her bloodlust rose once more; the more she killed, the more it grew too.

Meanwhile in the Iron mansion, Alice sat in front of a lady. "So what do you say? Do you want to make an alliance?"

"Yes."
