Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 — “The Memory of the Forgotten”

The next evening dawned, and they arrived at Selene's residence as planned, just after she had left . 🔎

The moonlight glimmered faintly through cracks in the abandoned warehouse.

Feriha, Eric, and Ravihan crouched behind crates, their breaths shallow, hearts pounding.

Selene's footsteps had faded hours ago; she had left the Circles Gang's underground lab to attend a meeting. 📌

"This is it," Ravihan whispered.

"The lab contains everything. Evidence, weapons… and the memory-restoring potion she's been hiding."

Feriha's eyes sparkled with determination.

"If we get that potion, my sister can remember… remember me, remember who she is." 😇

Eric checked the hallway.

"All clear. Cameras are offline temporarily. We have a window of ten minutes." ⌚

They moved silently, shadows melting into the walls.

The lab was a cold, sterile place;metal tables, glowing vials, and machines whirring softly in the dim light.

Ravihan pointed.

"There, behind the reinforced glass. The potion is inside that chamber. Look at the label: Memory Restoration ; Experimental."

Feriha's fingers itched.

"That's it… that's what we need." 💡

They approached cautiously.

The glass chamber had a digital lock. Ravihan quickly hacked the keypad, his fingers moving like lightning.

"Almost… got it…" he muttered, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

BEEP!

The lock clicked. The chamber hissed open.

Inside, a small vial glimmered with a soft golden light. 🍯

Feriha held her breath as she gently lifted it.

Her heart raced.

"This… this will bring her back."

Eric turned to the door.

"Let's move, fast. Selene could return at any moment."

They retraced their steps through the corridors, ducking behind crates and shadows, the vial safe in Feriha's hands.

Every noise, every creak of metal, made their hearts leap, but they kept moving, silent and precise. 🤐

Finally, they reached the Safehouse.

Feriha placed the vial on the table and stared at it, trembling.

"This… this is for her," she whispered.

"My sister… she will remember me again."

Ravihan rested a hand on her shoulder.

"One step at a time. First, we protect her from Selene.

Then… we restore her past." 🙂

The room was quiet, heavy with hope and fear.

Outside, the city slept unaware of the small victory inside the Safehouse, one that could change everything. 💝
