Chapter 7 - Kamiya-kun's comics can't be so depressing

Chapter 7 Kamiya-kun's comics can't be so depressing

"Hey, good morning, parasite."

The blonde girl behind Kuse Shizuka, with one hand on her hip, spoke malicious words in a light, airy tone.

The pencil in his hand wrote the blonde girl's name, Marina-chan, in the next panel.

octopus p, on Shizuka-chan's shoulder, didn't quite understand the meaning of 'parasite' and asked the girl next to him.

Kamiya Yu continued to draw, illustrating the Happy Camera that octopus p gave Shizuka-chan yesterday.

"Shizuka-chan, with this, you can go back to when you took the photos."

"The answers to tomorrow's homework are 35 and 162."

Shizuka-chan, standing up, lowered her head and whispered the answers with her hands clasped together, while Marina behind her stared at Shizuka with an angry expression.

During this time, Kamiya Yu also asked Hikigaya-kun about his feelings on reading the manga, as the reader's opinion is very important. Just drawing diligently might not be very effective.

After all, he wasn't sure if Sakurajima Country citizens would like this art style. It would be troublesome if it was different from Island Country in his previous life.

"Kamiya-san, are you a professional manga artist? I feel like this is much better than the manga I read in Weekly Shonen Jump, especially this style of subject matter, it's very rare."

Hikigaya Hachiman was a little puzzled. In his opinion, Kamiya Yu's drawing skills were quite mature, and after reading this short segment, he felt the plot was also good, just a bit too realistic.

Kamiya Yu across from him shook his head in denial: "I plan to enter Shueisha's Newcomer Award (Newcomer Award) to become a high school professional manga artist. Oh, I'm just slightly good at the 'healing' style."

"Kamiya-san, if you don't mind, can I also take a look?"

"Of course, Yukinoshita-san, you can give me suggestions anytime, so I can make appropriate revisions."

After Kamiya Yu finished speaking, he continued to draw diligently. The manga plot progressed to: octopus p helping Kuse Shizuka to meet with Yumemizaka Marina.

Because he thought the two had argued and wanted to help Shizuka-chan and Marina reconcile, after getting Shizuka-chan's approval, he used his transformation board to turn into Shizuka's appearance.

"Sorry… p."

octopus p, disguised as Kuse Shizuka, waved to Marina.

Suddenly, with a 'slap,' Marina's right hand struck him across the face.

"Your way of speaking is so disgusting, don't talk like that."

"I'm sorry, p..."

"Although I already knew you were disgusting, so shut up."

"What's wrong, got a problem?" Marina stared down at the fallen octopus p with cold eyes.

"So scary, so scary, it hurts so much."

"But, I want the two of you to reconcile. Marina-chan, although I don't know why you're doing this to me, if we calm down and communicate properly, we can definitely reconcile."

"That's why I especially don't want to be lectured by a human scum like you."

Kamiya Yu blackened the area around Marina's eyes on the paper, making her appear incredibly angry. Marina pulled out a pencil and stabbed at octopus p.

"It's no use."

Immediately, octopus p used the Happy Camera to return to the moment he took photos with Shizuka yesterday.

Kamiya Yu stopped his movements, feeling two gazes, sharp as knives, staring at him. He looked sideways and saw Hikigaya and Yukinoshita.

"Could you two please not look at me like that? It's making me a bit nervous."

Kamiya Yu, sitting on the chair, felt restless, as if he had done something wrong. Yukinoshita Yukino, among the two, spoke first, her tone extremely unfriendly.

"Kamiya-san."

"Here."

"Why is Shizuka-chan so miserable, and octopus p is so cute, why make him go through something like this?"

"Well, it's for the plot, there's a twist. Think about it, if it's a bit painful now, it will be much sweeter in the end. This is just a writing technique."

Kamiya Yu's eyes darted away, preparing to brush it off for now. Anyway, he hadn't drawn the later parts yet. Want candy? Eat a mouthful of knives instead. There's a twist, but the twist will just expand the scope of the knives.

Yukinoshita Yukino, in front of him, heard these words and her expression gradually softened. She sat back down in her chair.

"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle."

Kamiya Yu wiped away non-existent sweat, feeling that being a manga artist was a high-risk profession. He absolutely must not expose his address in the future, to prevent being 'knifed' by irrational fans.

"Kamiya, from my five years of manga experience, your manga is quite good, and it has good development prospects."

"Oh, oh, and once your manga is published, I'll definitely buy two copies to support it."

Hikigaya Hachiman expressed his approval of his manga. Kamiya Yu nodded and said a word of gratitude... As Kamiya Yu returned to his creation, the manga plot also developed rapidly, and soon Marina returned home.

The house was a mess, as if no one had cleaned it for a long time. Marina's mother sat on a stool, her hands resting on the table, muttering sadly with her head down.

"Dad said… dinner will be with that person."

"Marina-chan too, it would have been good if you came home earlier."

"Mom was scolded again, Marina, you'll listen to Mom, won't you?"

After Marina's mother finished her last sentence, she reached out her right hand to Marina. In the last large panel, Marina's pupils dilated, and tears unconsciously streamed from the corners of her eyes.

Kamiya Yu didn't plan to continue drawing, as he had already completed the second chapter. He would just revise it later. It seemed he could finish all three chapters tomorrow, after which he could submit them.

While Kamiya Yu was thinking, a pair of cold eyes next to him were watching him. It was as if a blood-red character, "Danger," appeared above Kamiya Yu's head.

"Why does it feel so cold?"

Kamiya Yu pondered with his head down, while his hands continued to pack up his tools. After greeting the two, he hurried towards home.

He checked the time when he got home; there should still be plenty of time. Kamiya Yu took out his drawing tools from his bag and continued to rush his drawings.

After some time, Kamiya Yu completed all the content for the second chapter and prepared to eat at a family restaurant near his home.

[Eating instant bento every day is still a bit unhealthy!]

Kamiya Yu thought, clutching his stomach.
