Chapter 25 - Day 12 – Friday

Day 12 – Friday

It has been three days since the Queen of Denmark and the Danish Kingdom locked down the country. Ordering all to remain home with only the very limited amount of people allowed to be out working, as they were essential services. Despite the difficulties in upholding this order, many people chose to stay home for fear of getting sick.

Daily, the few essential cabinet members who had moved into the one palace, had meetings over matters that needed attention. The other ministers, residing at home, joined over the internet and phone calls. The PM met with the Royals daily to keep them updated on the progress. Life came to literally a standstill, as the world watched the numbers of infections rise, and the deaths climb rapidly after. They waited for a break in the confirmed cases, which showed they were now controlling it. They waited for healing. Only then, would they start to breathe a sigh of relief, across the world.

But in the Royal residence, the Queen worked most of the day. Monitoring and coordinating with various ministers and communities, to ensure her people were getting the care they needed. Food and water, including amenities and medical supplies.

Max and Mrs Peters were still bed-bound, recovering. So Ashley spent time going from one room to the other. Mostly she spent time with him, watching children's movies, playing with her dolls, building blocks, reading books – or rather, he read to her.

Clementine, after dismissing Gavin, mostly isolated herself in her suite. Thankfully, her teachers sent work and she resumed her studies. She only ventured out, once in a while, when needed.

Amelia was too busy with assisting Carolyn running the country, to worry about her youngest, as she was helping wherever she could.

There wasn't much one could do except wait and watch.
