Chapter 4 - The Scheming Woman Meng Ruya

Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin exploded in anger.

"Mu Weiwei, we spent tens of millions to buy that painting. It's crucial to our major cooperation with the Wilson Group. You spilled coffee on it?"

Fu Hanzheng wasn't as out of control as Fu Shiqin, but his expression was chilling.

"Is there any way to repair it?"

Meng Ruya shook her head helplessly. "I immediately sent it to a cultural relic restoration expert, but they just called to say... it can't be repaired. Mr. Wilson is coming to the capital tomorrow. He and his wife really like this painting. What are we going to do now?"

Gu Weiwei quietly watched Meng Ruya speak, a mocking smile playing on her lips.

She remembered that the painting was originally on the back seat of the car, and she had specifically asked Mu Weiwei to hold it for her.

That cup of coffee was also something she had bought for Mu Weiwei.

And the coffee spilled because she braked suddenly, causing it to land on the painting. Now... it was all Mu Weiwei's fault.

This woman is really... so scheming.

From the moment Mu Weiwei arrived at the Fu family, she approached her with the face of a caring older sister.

Mu Weiwei, young and naive, was completely fooled by Meng Ruya.

She heard Meng Ruya say that Fu Hanzheng liked mature and sexy women, so despite her youthful beauty, she deliberately dressed maturely, looking like a nightclub hostess every day.

Meng Ruya also claimed that changing the Fu family's feng shui would benefit her marriage with Fu Hanzheng, so she went to move the east and west positions of the Fu family's property, which led to the smashing of the antique vases…

step

by step, making Mu Weiwei the object of everyone's disgust in the Fu family.

Mu Weiwei, young and naive, didn't understand this woman's scheming.

But Gu Weiwei wasn't stupid; she knew Meng Ruya wasn't helping her at all, but rather trying to make her disliked by Fu Hanzheng and everyone in the Fu family, ultimately leading to her being kicked out.

Fu Hanzheng looked at the silent girl, his eyes filled with anger, as deep as an icy pool.

"Mu Weiwei, putting everything else aside, you must give us a satisfactory explanation for this."

Grandma Fu looked at Gu Weiwei, who had remained silent. "Weiwei, that painting... did you really destroy it?"

Gu Weiwei nodded honestly. "Yes, I spilled the coffee."

Although it wasn't Mu Weiwei's intention, the coffee had indeed been spilled from her hand.

Grandma Fu sighed in disappointment. Last night's events had already angered Han Zheng, but out of respect for her as his grandmother, he hadn't pursued the matter, only asking Weiwei to move out.

Now, it concerned the company. The cooperation between the Fu Group and the Wilson Group had been under negotiation for several months before the Wilson couple finally agreed to come to China to discuss the cooperation.

Because the couple greatly admired Prien's paintings, they had gone to great lengths to acquire one to present to the Wilson couple.

Now, this hard-won painting had been destroyed by Mu Weiwei's cup of coffee.

Fu Hanzheng glanced at Meng Ruya. "Have someone return the painting."

Meng Ruya immediately made a phone call, and in less than an hour, the destroyed masterpiece was placed in front of Gu Weiwei.

Fu Hanzheng's voice was cold and stern. "You have two choices now: one is to restore this painting to its original state, and the other is to find a painting by Priyan."

Gu Weiwei blinked, her eyes cunning and intelligent.

"Is there a third choice?"

Fu Hanzheng looked at her, his eyes icy cold.

"Or, pay the price for it."

"Young Master, Weiwei didn't mean it. There aren't many Priyan paintings left out. We spent months finding this one. Where is she supposed to find it now?" Meng Ruya stepped forward to continue pleading for her.

"Ruya, stop speaking up for her. If she can't give us a satisfactory explanation, she can expect to go to jail." Fu Shiqin sneered.

Meng Ruya glanced at Fu Hanzheng's cold expression, a barely perceptible smile playing on her lips.

At this point, Mu Weiwei should finally get out of the Fu family.

She couldn't even live here, so why should she?

Gu Weiwei wasn't intimidated by the group's presence. She glanced indifferently at the oil painting in front of her.

"Actually, you should thank me."
