Michael's demand left me speechless. My pulse hammered against my ribs so forcefully I was certain he could hear every beat echoing through the room.
Remove my clothes? In front of him? Heat flooded my face, and my breathing became uneven. His request wasn't vulgar, but it was daring, personal, and completely beyond anything I'd ever imagined myself doing.
I straightened against the mattress, shifting my position awkwardly. Self-doubt crashed over me like a wave. Michael had been with sophisticated women, the kind who moved with practiced grace and knew exactly how to captivate a man. That wasn't me at all.
