Allyson's POV
"Talk about what?" I kept my voice neutral, almost bored. Playing innocent felt too satisfying to resist.
Michael moved closer to me.
I stepped back until the cold metal railing pressed against my spine. His dark eyes followed every movement, his mouth setting into a harder line.
"Don't pretend," he said, his voice carrying an edge of desperation he tried to hide behind his pride.
"Pretend what?" I tilted my head with practiced innocence. "I honestly don't know what you mean."
His breath came out sharp and frustrated. "I mean what happened between us last night. That moment we shared."
I shifted slightly, arching my back just enough to emphasize the curves beneath my silk dress. The fabric's slit climbed higher up my thigh with the movement. I made sure he noticed.
"Last night?" I blinked slowly.
He waited, watching me with intense focus.
I lifted one shoulder in a casual shrug. "Nothing comes to mind."
