Allyson's POV
My phone vibrated against the nightstand.
Gina: Outside your door.
I stared at the screen, confused. Outside? What door? She hadn't mentioned coming over.
Another message popped up.
Gina: At the front entrance.
I bolted upright, certain I was misreading. She was actually here? Right now?
This was completely unexpected.
I grabbed my phone and dialed immediately. "Gina, what are you doing?"
Her voice burst through the speaker, practically bubbling with energy. "Allyson, I know I was here yesterday evening, but seeing this estate in actual sunlight? It's absolutely breathtaking. Like something from a magazine."
I threw off my blankets and headed toward the bedroom door, still processing. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
