The way his voice dropped on those final words sent an electric thrill racing down my spine, though I fought to keep my expression neutral. "I don't want multiple partners either."
Something shifted in his gaze, a flicker of satisfaction crossing his features. "Perfect."
I straightened my spine, needing him to understand my position completely. "And I won't share you with anyone," I declared, my tone stronger now.
A slow, dangerous smile spread across his lips. "You won't need to. I gave you my promise, and I always keep my word."
"Good," I repeated, feeling my chest ease as relief and something electric coursed through me.
His thumb traced across my palm before he pulled back, his expression turning serious. "Now we need to discuss something important."
