Michael's POV
The week started with nothing but complications. My security team had just delivered the news I'd been dreading but expecting - Ran and his crew had vanished from the city. The hotel surveillance footage from the restroom incident had mysteriously disappeared, which only confirmed what I already suspected. Ran had greased enough palms to ensure his clean escape and eliminate any evidence of his crimes.
But running away wouldn't save him from what was coming. If the legal system couldn't touch him, I'd destroy him through other means. His business empire would crumble, and I'd make sure of it.
