Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Trust Falls Apart

Allyson's POV

Walking into Reagan's restaurant felt like stepping back in time. The familiar ambiance wrapped around me like a ghost from my past. Every corner held memories of late nights we spent here together, the countless suggestions I offered to help expand his business, even the warm paint colors adorning the walls that I had personally selected. I had invested so much of myself into his vision, setting aside my own dreams because I thought we were creating something lasting together. What a fool I had been.

A server approached while I remained lost in these bittersweet recollections. "Excuse me, do you have a reservation tonight?" she inquired politely.

I gave her a distracted nod, my attention already drifting as I searched the dining room for Reagan's familiar figure. Then my eyes found him near the bar area.

He was not alone.

Lisha stood right beside him, her laughter ringing out as they engaged in what appeared to be an intimate conversation.
