Allyson's POV
I spun around in his embrace, my breathing ragged, lips tingling, words trapped somewhere deep in my throat.
"Michael," I whispered. "This is incredible. I expected something small. Maybe a studio or a one-bedroom place..."
He stepped back just enough to flash that signature smirk, though his gaze remained tender as he studied my face. "Have you learned nothing about me?"
His thumb wiped away a tear that had escaped without my notice. "I promised to find you a place you'd fall in love with. And sweetheart, I never settle for ordinary."
A laugh bubbled up through my tears. "I'm not sure I can take something this extravagant... This isn't just a present, it's..."
The words died in my throat.
Michael moved silently to the dining table and retrieved a glossy black portfolio. He came back and gently placed it in my shaking hands.
I stared down at it, then back up at him.
"Open it," he said softly. "I finalized the purchase this week. Everything is under your name."
