Allyson's POV
The morning light streamed through the windows, but it felt more like a warning than a welcome. The weekend had ended, and with it, the illusion that everything might actually work out perfectly.
Our bags were arranged neatly beside the grand entrance. Everyone was ready to return to their real lives.
Thor stood in the center of the courtyard like a king holding court, his arms spread wide in triumph.
"Thank you all for making this the most incredible birthday celebration," he announced, his voice carrying across the space. "Absolutely incredible."
Michael stepped up first. "Thank you, Thor. You outdid yourself."
Reagan followed with a firm handshake. "The music, the food, everything was perfect."
I approached with what I hoped was a genuine smile. "Thank you so much, Thor. This was truly amazing. I hope you have many more wonderful years ahead, and when your next milestone comes around, we'll all be here to celebrate with you."
