After the Shadow Clan general's humiliating defeat, the demon realm settled into a fragile calm. Aria had officially proven she was untouchable—yet politics never rested.
This morning, she announced, "Eren… I want a proper date today."
I blinked. "A date? In the demon realm?"
"Yes!" She grabbed my hand, eyes sparkling. "No politics, no invasions… just us."
I smiled. "Okay… sounds great."
We walked through the gardens, lava fountains bubbling peacefully, when a group of demon couriers approached. One of them bowed so low he nearly fell over.
"My Lady," he said, trembling, "the eastern tribes are demanding an audience… immediately."
Aria groaned. "Eren… see? Even flowers and lava fountains can't keep politics away."
Before I could say anything, a messenger imp zipped past, dropping a scroll at Aria's feet.
"From the Shadow Clan," she muttered, picking it up. "Apparently, they've been scheming… again."
I swallowed. "Doesn't it ever end?"
Aria smirked faintly. "It ends only when they admit I'm stronger… which will never happen. But that's fine. I like watching them try."
The scroll burst into shadows, forming a holographic map of the demon realm. Points of red blinked rapidly across the north, east, and south.
"They're coordinating attacks," Aria said casually, sipping her tea. "Interesting… but predictable."
Before I could react, she raised her hand. A soft wind swept through the garden, freezing the red points in midair. Not destroyed. Just immobilized.
I stared. "She… she just stopped the attacks… without touching anyone."
Aria leaned close, smiling. "Eren… sometimes the strongest power isn't to destroy, but to show control. And now… we have time for that date."
I grinned. "Finally. So where are we going?"
Aria took a deep breath, gesturing to the lava fountain garden. "Let's just walk… and enjoy being alive, even if the entire demon realm is plotting."
And so, hand in hand, we escaped chaos for just a little while—a tiny, precious bubble of normalcy in a world ruled by demons, magic, and one incredibly overpowered girlfriend.
