Something felt wrong.
Levi was never like this—never the kind of man who would destroy others just to get the woman he loved. That wasn't him. At least, not the Levi I knew.
Unless…
My chest tightened.
What if he wasn't Levi at all?
What if he was an impostor?
Before I could stop myself, I stepped closer and pinched his cheek—hard enough to test reality. He only stared at me innocently, brows knitting together in confusion.
…No reaction. No slip.
He was Levi.
He smiled softly at me.
"What are you doing, Solar?"
"Ah! Nothing!" I said too quickly and returned to my seat.
He didn't press the issue. Instead, he calmly placed a glass in front of me and poured coffee into it, the steam curling upward between us.
"Drink this first," he said with a gentle smile. "It's good."
I smiled back and took a sip.
It really was good. Even better than the coffee I usually liked.
"This is my favorite coffee now," I said brightly.
He tilted his head, studying me.
