Sometimes I wondered if I was being selfish or lazy? With my powers, I could definitely be a pretty high-end superhero, but instead, I'm basically just enjoying my winter vacation with my best friend.
It's not like I haven't been paying attention to things happening around the world though. The internet exists.
With my abilities, I can theoretically scan through fuckloads of pages at the same time. But it was easier to just create an AI that could do that for me. Who wants to subject themselves to that much brain rot anyway?
Gotham is a fucking disaster, as per usual. Bane and the League of Assassins attacked Wayne Enterprises, they got repelled, hundreds died, the Penguin ran for Mayor and lost, hundreds died, the Joker blew up a hospital, hundreds died, the Riddler planted a bomb in two schools and Batman was only able to save one, hundreds of children died…
Yeah, Gotham things. That's just the more high profile situations, while there were constantly all kinds of random events happening 24/7.
Should I go there and try to help? The issue is that of those hundred that died over and over again, except the kids, a lot of them were actually criminals and monsters.
From a more long-term point of view, even the school kids would ultimately grow up to become criminals and monsters.
So who am I really saving? From what? I think that hospital was the Joker blew up was actually the secret lair of Mr. Freeze?
Haven't heard anything about Poison Ivy yet though. Cat Woman recently stole some expensive jewelry though. That's about it. Nobody even died. Why would the media care if no one dies?
Metropolis without Superman experiences a fuckton of bank robberies, like it's kinda unreasonable. But it's still at the level of mundane, ordinary crimes. Police officers can deal with it.
Not many meta-crimes yet. Even Gotham is mostly just normal criminals, maybe a humanoid crocodile or something every now and then.
Lucifer didn't even bother trying to hide his identity. He was pretty famous in Los Angeles. Owned a huge nightclub called the Lux.
Pretty sure Chloe Decker is a few years older than me at the moment. Makes me wonder if I should get involved with that Angelic and Demonic bullshit or stay away altogether?
Star Labs exists and has existed for quite a while now, run by Harrison Wells, but who knows whether that's the real one or the fake one? Oliver Queen is a few years older than me. His father is a billionaire, so it's not hard to find out about their family.
Nora Allen was murdered in March, last year. Barry Allen was 11 at the time and was adopted by Joe West.
Joe and Iris are black, so this might be closer to the Arrowverse, but they don't actually look exactly the same as the actors I remember so who the fuck knows?
Could I have saved Barry's Mom from dying? Fuck no. I'm not getting anywhere near that temporal shitstorm unless I'm strong enough to manipulate time as well.
On the other hand, if I'm strong enough to manipulate time in the future, then the future me will be able to protect me from time-travel shenanigans in the present and past.
Anyway, there are a million easier and safer ways to resurrect the dead than time-travel. That's something to worry about in the future though. Like I said, I don't wanna get involved with The Flash until I'm a lot… Faster.
The thing I'm most concerned about though is Kara Danvers. I found her parents and they're both alive, they even married already. But Kara Zor-El hasn't reached Earth yet. If this is similar to the Arrowverse, then it should be soonish.
I think it was December 15th, 2003. But that time could be totally inaccurate. I'm really scared that something might have happened to her in the Phantom Zone or that she could be the version that stayed in Argo City and was the last survivor after everyone else died to a convoluted plot device I can't quite remember.
"Hey Clark, do you want to build a snowman?" When Lena asked that, I couldn't help hearing a song playing in the back of my Kryptonian brainbox. But I quickly suppressed it.
"Like a normal snowman or?" I looked at her mischievous expression and knew it would never be a normal snowman. Because she was incapable of ever being normal.
