Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: The Mysterious Red Figure

Chapter 165: The Mysterious Red Figure

"Roar~" A deep tiger growl came from behind Silas.

A bottomless black abyss opened from Silas's shadow, and a giant black tiger slowly emerged from the darkness. Wisps of black mist circled around its white stripes. Its body was just tall enough to touch the carriage ceiling, and its length, including its steel-like tail, was a full six meters long.

"I don't think this is a good spot." John, who was lying exactly beneath the giant tiger's crotch, could see an undescribable part of the animal when he opened his eyes.

The Mantis Men stared at the black giant tiger in front of them, their bodies starting to tremble as they slowly backed away. This was a natural suppression of bloodline.

Black Tiger Toru did not act on its own but stayed quietly behind Silas, observing the tiny bugs in front.

"Hey~ hey~" John cautiously scurried out from under the giant tiger. If a fight broke out, he was afraid the big tiger would accidentally step on him.

"Killian, you little mouse hiding in the dark, it's time to see the sun outside," Silas said.

"You know me?!" Killian said incredulously. He had never personally dealt with Destiny; only his subordinates and bio-enhanced fighters had encountered him. Furthermore, those subordinates couldn't have revealed his identity because the ones taken away by Destiny were merely low-level test subjects who didn't even know his name.

"I'll give you one minute to roll out yourself, or I'll have my little pet drag you out of your rat hole," Silas had no interest in playing hide-and-seek with Killian any longer.

Killian did not reply.

In the small base, Killian ran out in a panic. He wasn't going to face Destiny, but to flee immediately. Based on the previous battles involving the bio-enhanced fighters and the experimental subjects, he clearly understood Destiny's power. Facing Destiny right now would mean he had no chance of winning.

The Carriage

"Roar~" Black Tiger Toru brought its mouth close to Silas's ear and let out a soft sound.

"Chase him when you hear movement. I want him alive," Silas commanded.

Black Tiger Toru nodded. Bang! With an effortless swipe, it tore open the carriage, jumped out, and bolted toward the rear.

"You guys better become food for my little ones." Silas prepared to leave without looking back. When he passed John, he paused.

"Do you want to have the power of a superhero?" Silas looked down at John on the ground.

John swallowed hard, pointing to himself in disbelief. "Can I... have it too?"

"Of course." Silas smiled faintly, reached into his shadow, and pulled out a tube. He said, "But it depends on luck."

"Luck?" John asked, taking the test tube curiously. John examined the flowing blue liquid in the transparent tube in his hand and asked, "What is this?"

But no one answered him. John quickly looked up. Sure enough, Destiny had long since vanished.

Roar! One palm-sized Shadowkhan Eater after another scurried out of the Shadow Realm, pouncing on the Mantis Men on the floor, tearing them apart bit by bit.

"How ferocious." John couldn't help but take a step back.

At this time, the doctor also finished his surgery. He failed! The man's wife, Ruth, remained forever in this carriage.

"Why! Why!" The man painfully hugged his wife, tears streaming down his face, wetting his clothes.

"I'm sorry," the doctor said apologetically. At this moment, he could do nothing but offer an apology.

"It's all your fault!" A word from the doctor shifted the man's attention. In his eyes, the doctor's lack of skill was what led to his wife's death. The man angrily grabbed the doctor by the collar, ready to punch him hard in the face.

Seeing this, John quickly tucked the test tube into his pocket, rushed over to mediate, "Hey! Stop it! He was trying his best to save your wife just now."

"But Ruth is dead!" The man was so enraged that he couldn't control his actions, throwing a punch.

John, unluckily caught between the two, took the man's angry punch directly to his face. A tooth flew out of his mouth.

"Ow!" John cried out, clutching his mouth in pain. His vision blurred. He could faintly make out the tooth lying on the floor.

"Are you okay!" The doctor shoved the man away and helped John up, concerned, as John had just taken a hit for him.

John never imagined that after escaping the runaway train and the monster attack, he would be struck by one of his own.

The Underground

Bang! Killian ran frantically forward. His clothes were tattered, and a long bloody scratch marked his exposed chest skin, dripping with fresh blood.

"Damn it! What kind of monster is that!" Killian constantly heard the roaring sound coming from behind him. He couldn't believe that a slightly larger tiger had beaten him into such a wretched state.

"Roar!" Black Tiger Toru pursued him, guided by the scent Killian left in the air. Killian didn't want to stay here! His plan hadn't been implemented, that bastard Stark wasn't dead, and he hadn't established Killian Industries yet—he wouldn't accept this!

Bang! From the left, a sudden tiger paw struck him, sending him flying over twenty meters away onto the ground. The Black Tiger Toru, enhanced by the Shadow Realm, could deliver a strike with a force of ten tons. Using the surrounding shadows, Black Tiger Toru could quickly find shortcuts to attack Killian.

"Destiny! Don't push me! I can't beat you, but if you truly intend to keep me, you will definitely get hurt!" Killian shouted, face down on the floor.

Silas, watching the show from the Shadow Realm, did not reply. Instead, he looked at Peter lying on the experiment table. The Shadow Realm had now created a 100-square-meter isolation room, providing oxygen while isolating the corrupting black mist of the Shadow Realm.

"Should I kill Killian?" Little Black poured Silas a glass of juice nearby.

Silas nodded, "Why keep him alive otherwise?"

"Stark arrived here earlier, took the injured Happy, and declared that he would eliminate the Ten Rings," Little Black reported.

"Hmm. How is the stability of that experimental agent?" Silas asked.

Alpha spoke up, "It is about sixty percent stable. The success rate still depends on the individual's physical fitness."

"What about someone with my physical fitness?" Silas held up his right hand and looked at it.

"The success rate is about ninety-eight percent. The instability lies in the potential for an adverse reaction with your Spider-Gene," Alpha analyzed.

"How is Peter doing now?" Silas took the juice Little Black offered and took a sip.

"Currently, there are no serious issues. His physical energy reached its limit, forcing his body into hibernation. Based on Spider-Man's current constitution, he will need one day to recover," Alpha analyzed.

The Underground Tunnel

Killian was beaten half to death by Black Tiger Toru. He had desperately fought back earlier, only to be struck down even more severely by the tiger. Black Tiger Toru stepped on Killian's back. It only needed Silas's order to kill Killian immediately.

"Hoo~ It's quite lively here. I thought someone was having a party, but it turns out we have a man-and-beast performance..." A red figure appeared on the scene.
