Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 Elysium is Freedom

Yin Xiu stared at him calmly and politely introduced himself: "My name is Ye Tianxuan."

Upon hearing this, the prison guard was immediately relieved and quickly flipped through his logbook, finding Ye Tianxuan's name. Indeed, there was a record of this player entering the instance, and he was even a highly skilled player with a 98% success rate.

The prison guard had heard of this person. Although his reputation wasn't good, he always handled dungeons properly. Rather than killing monsters, he preferred to extract all the information and clues from the dungeon before leaving. But how did someone who was so annoyed by monsters end up in jail?

"If you clear 98% of the level... then killing monsters would be considered high-risk, red is normal." The prison guard muttered to himself for a while, then nodded, put away the logbook in his hand, and patted Yin Xiu's shoulder meaningfully, "I can understand making mistakes occasionally, but you have to be a good person when you get out."

Anyway, it doesn't matter who it is, as long as it's not Yin Xiu.

Yin Xiu nodded expressionlessly, "Understood."

The prison guard was pleased with Yin Xiu's obedient behavior. He could understand why Yin Xiu was so calm and composed; he was a good player, unlike the other players he had just killed.

"Alright, just follow me. As long as you don't make any mistakes and obediently gather in the lobby, everything will be fine." The prison guard kindly reminded him before leading Yin Xiu to the next solitary cell.

Yin Xiu quietly followed behind him, unfolding the rule sheet he had found in the cell from his palm.

The note didn't have any rules written on it, so he could only try it himself. Since it was a prison instance, as a prisoner, it was only right that he tell a lie or something strange, but the prison guards didn't notice anything amiss, which actually matched the sentence on the rule sheet.

Paradise is free.

But Yin Xiu didn't believe that a copy of the rules could truly be without rules; the less information there was, the more dangerous it was.

He followed the prison guard forward, and when they reached the door of the second cell, the guard, as always, glared at him through a small window and shouted, "Player number 103! Get out here! Assemble in the lobby downstairs immediately!"

Upon hearing the other party's number, Yin Xiu paused.

103! Isn't that Ye Tianxuan?

The prison guard called him 401 just now; that's his number in the town.

He had just taken over someone else's identity when the real person showed up. What bad luck!

Yin Xiu peeked out and saw that standing in the open doorway was indeed Ye Tianxuan, who was as pale as paper and looked like a fragile little white flower.

He coughed, covering his mouth with a folded rule sheet, and walked out, his face pale. At the same time, he caught sight of Yin Xiu behind him.

The prison guards had complicated expressions when they saw Ye Tianxuan. How could such a frail player, who looked like he could die at any moment, be here? Were the dungeons outside this weak now? How could someone who coughed every two steps kill a monster and become a dangerous player?

The prison guard shook his head in disgust, sighed softly, took out his notebook, and said coldly to Ye Tianxuan, "Tell me, what's your name?"

Ye Tianxuan glanced at Yin Xiu, who was gesturing behind the prison guard, paused for a second in confusion, and then stared at Yin Xiu's two hands as they circled between them.

He paused, wondering what was going on now. Were they playing such tricks? He was a decent person, always serious and straightforward.

Ye Tianxuan cleared his throat twice and said in a serious tone, "My name is Yin Xiu."

The moment those two words came out of Ye Tianxuan's mouth, the prison guard's legs went weak for no reason. He stared wide-eyed and carefully examined the sickly Ye Tianxuan.

How could the legendary god of death look like this?! He looks like he's about to die at any moment! Is this a case of not judging a book by its cover?

"Is...is his name really Yin Xiu?" He asked tremblingly, confirming again. The monsters knew Yin Xiu would come, and he was prepared, but he didn't expect to encounter him so soon. How could he be the second one?! How was he supposed to remain calm in front of the other players?!

Seeing the other party's questioning, Ye Tianxuan narrowed his eyes and sneered, "You have a problem with my name?"

The prison guard fell silent instantly, then quickly shook his head. "No, no... So you're Yin Xiu. Please follow me to the back; we'll be meeting in the main hall soon."

"What are we gathering for?" Ye Tianxuan asked casually, trying to get some information out of him.

But the prison guard said awkwardly, "You'll see when you go down. I'm just here to bring someone over..."

Ye Tianxuan seemed to be deep in thought, staring coldly at the prison guard.

His silence filled the prison guards with fear. Was the big boss dissatisfied with his explanation and decided to take action?

After a few seconds of silence, Ye Tianxuan, seeing that he couldn't get a word out of him, simply pretended to reluctantly agree, "Fine, I'm in a good mood today, so I'll go down with you."

The head guard breathed a long sigh of relief, "Please, please, please..."

Yin Xiu clapped silently from behind, nodding with satisfaction. He had learned it so well; he had never seen Ye Tianxuan treat anyone with such a cold and disdainful look.

"But you'd better not hide anything from me." Ye Tianxuan chuckled before leaving, not forgetting to ensure Yin Xiu's image in the eyes of the monsters.

"Yes, yes, yes..."

Ye Tianxuan wanted to say something more harsh, but he had said too much and couldn't catch his breath. He coughed twice, covered his mouth, and hurriedly followed Yin Xiu with a pale face.

If I keep pretending, I'm afraid I'll be suspected.

Once the prison guards realized that this was Yin Xiu, their attitude immediately became respectful. They didn't dare to be too harsh on this seemingly fragile person, so they pretended that the two behind him didn't exist and continued walking forward.

He encountered two red-dangerous players right from the start, which really made him lose some of his authority. He'll definitely have to show the attitude a prison guard should have next!

It was the same routine: knocking on the door, opening a small window, and yelling at the player's actions. But the next player was very aggressive. As soon as the prison guard opened the door, the other player rushed out and, seemingly out of nowhere, ripped a table leg off and slammed it into the guard's head.

The man was strong and clearly had high combat skills. He could easily remove the table leg, so his blow must have caused considerable damage.

But the prison guard stood still, not moving an inch. The blow to his head didn't even shake him; instead, he glared angrily at the player in front of him.

Yin Xiu noticed that the prison guard was not carrying anything and had no riot control equipment, which was indeed somewhat dangerous in the prison.

But the prison guards soon showed Yin Xiu through their actions that he himself was dangerous.

Compared to the player's massive size and muscular strength, the prison guard was even more terrifying. After catching the player's blow, he grabbed the player's head, gritted his teeth, and twisted it off with all his might.

The viewers in the live chat were trembling, exclaiming, "Holy crap, this is terrifying! Are the monsters in this dungeon really that powerful?"

"To deal with terrorists, they also need to use terrorists. Don't forget that only players who slaughter monsters will enter this dungeon. Normally clearing the dungeon and killing the boss doesn't count. You can tell what level you have to be to enter this prison dungeon."

"It seems that the monsters in this dungeon are not easy for players to deal with. Yin Xiu doesn't care, but he is mainly worried about our Boss Ye."

"Sigh, who in their right mind would willingly enter a dungeon like this? Boss Ye only went in to collect the dungeon guide for our sake. It was his first time encountering a dungeon like this, so he was probably a little scared."

"After all, Boss Ye's health isn't good, and he hates people who resort to violence the most."

"Hopefully he wasn't scared."

Just as the comments section finished expressing its amazement, Yin Xiu leaned close to Ye Tianxuan and whispered, "The monsters in this dungeon are still a bit lacking."

Ye Tianxuan nodded in agreement, then said tactfully, "It was almost there, but for a prison guard, this level is about right. It's still quite impressive to twist off a player's head."

After killing the players, the prison guard looked satisfied and wanted to turn around to see how the people behind him would react. He thought that even if Yin Xiu didn't say anything, the other person should at least show some fear. But when he turned around, he saw them whispering to each other. They weren't even looking at him properly, let alone being scared.

The prison guard wanted to get angry, but seeing "Yin Xiu" among them, he didn't dare to. He could only mutter and curse, "No whispering allowed!"

"Ah, yes, yes, yes..." The two nodded in unison, then pretended to be nonchalant and looked away. They still showed no fear of his reaction, and their perfunctory attitude was so cold that it hurt his heart.

A monster should look like a monster. If it can't leave players with fear, what's the point of it being a monster?

The prison guards have been in this instance for so long and have never suffered such injustice!
