Chapter 1 - Awakening

Jin Buyeon stared into the mirror with bloodshot eyes glaring at her own reflection.

She kept her gaze locked on herself for several minutes and only after that did she lower her head to look at her own hands, as if confirming something.

Only then did she seem to realize it, finally letting out a breath of relief.

Jin Buyeon felt the young body that was only fifteen years old and inside her heart she couldn't describe how happy she was. But at the same time, anger and resentment burned in her chest.

The engagement between the Jin family and the Seo family was not something that could be dissolved just because she said a few words.

Especially when Seo Yul still held onto that disgusting thought.

He wanted to leave her inside the house as his official wife, while keeping his so called true love outside as his lover.

That was why, in front of her family and in front of her, he always acted so attentive, so cheerful and optimistic. Even the original her had once truly liked him.

On top of that, after what happened later, it was Seo Yul who had saved her life, and because of that…

"Hah!"

Jin Buyeon let out a cold laugh, pushing that aside for now.

That scumbag Seo Yul favorite lover is an Omega with trash talent. In her previous life, if it hadn't been for her constant support, even though she hadn't formally taken her as a disciple, she had worked hard for her, putting in effort like a teacher.

Many resources she herself was reluctant to use or consume, she had instead given to hrr. Without her, how could that trash have ever become a high-level Omega?

It was laughable.

Jin Buyeon tested her own mental power now and realized that at present, she was only at the level of a mid-level Omega. But that didn't matter. She knew very well that in just three or four more years, she would step into the rank of a high-level Omega.

At that time, she would become a powerful figure of high status in the entire empire!

The empire would even classify her records as top secret.

And… by then, unless Seo Yul became a general or marshal with great military achievements, or a major figure who had contributed something huge to the empire, according to imperial law, someone like him would never be qualified to marry a high-level Omega.

In her past life, it was only because she herself insisted on it, because she had willingly lowered herself and clung to him, that the empire turned a blind eye and allowed it.

The corner of Jin Buyeon's lips curved slightly.

If she wanted to break the engagement, all she needed to do was become a high-level Omega.

In her past life, she had only reached that level when she was around twenty.

But now that she had been reborn and carried all the experience from before, she didn't know how much faster she could reach that point this time.
