POV: Margot Chen
Iris's text had been urgent: "Come to the penthouse. I need you to see something."
Margot arrived at 2 PM expecting crisis. Instead, she found Iris systematically laying out evidence across the living room coffee table, photographs of financial transfers, security reports, email communications, documentation about shell companies and fixers and Raymond DeVos.
"Jesus," Margot breathed, moving closer to examine the materials.
She'd warned Iris about this man from the beginning. Had watched her friend marry someone within weeks of meeting him. Had listened to the increasingly strained explanations about why the penthouse felt like a prison, why the marriage felt like investigation, why Iris couldn't leave despite believing her husband had murdered her husband.
And now here was the evidence. All of it carefully documented. All of it pointing toward Julian's involvement in Daniel's death.
