Chapter 2 - chapter 2: The God Who Got Bored

Far above the clouds, past the sky, past the stars, past anything humans could dream of…

there existed a throne that no one visited anymore.

It was made of shifting light, drifting dust, and ancient divine symbols.

Only one being sat there.

The God of Everything.

He wore no crown.

He had no fixed shape.

Sometimes he looked like an old man, sometimes like a child, sometimes like a swirl of golden smoke.

Today, he chose the form of a lazy young man lying sideways, chin resting on his hand.

He sighed loudly.

"Ughhh… being a god is SO boring."

He snapped his fingers.

A massive screen of light appeared in front of him.

On it, Rylan was hoeing the field calmly, dirt on his hands, hair messy, face peaceful.

The god grinned.

"There he is. My favorite little mortal."

He zoomed in.

Rylan was watering plants with a wooden bucket.

Nothing dramatic.

Nothing magical.

Just working.

The god nodded slowly, very satisfied with his own decisions.

"Who knew… giving a random baby a divine-tier blessing would turn into such an interesting show?"

He stretched, bored but amused.

"I gave mortals heroes, kings, dragons, warriors… all of them ended up shouting, stabbing, conquering, blah blah blah… Annoying."

He pointed at Rylan on the screen.

"But THIS kid? Perfect. He just farms."

He tapped the air, and another screen showed the forest near Fermar Village.

Monsters were trembling, refusing to approach.

A giant boar monster tried taking one step forward—

—then immediately ran away crying.

The god laughed so hard he fell off his throne.

"Hehehe—! They think he's death itself! HA! Amazing."

He snapped again, floating back to the throne.

"Let's check his stats…"

A glowing list appeared:

Luck: ??? (unmeasurable)

Aura: Fatal to monsters

Adaptability: Divine level

Skill Copy Chance: 1%

Farming Talent: "Absurd"

Intelligence: Genius

Self-awareness: 0%

The god tilted his head.

"…He still doesn't know anything?"

He watched Rylan calmly eating a simple breakfast of bread and boiled vegetables, sitting alone on the wooden steps of his hut.

Rylan sighed softly, thinking about his crops.

Nothing else.

The god smiled gently.

"Good boy."

But then… his expression changed.

Something flickered behind his eyes.

Something old.

Something divine.

He whispered:

"…The other gods won't ignore him forever. They'll notice the imbalance soon."

He leaned forward.

"But I'm watching. So don't worry, little farmer."

He snapped his fingers once more.

"Keep growing… Rylan."

The screen faded.

The god leaned back and closed his eyes.

"Show me something interesting."

Far below, in Fermar Village, Rylan stood up, stretched, and looked at the sky for a moment.

He felt… something.

A tiny warmth.

Like someone smiling at him from far, far away.

He shrugged.

"Maybe the weather will be good today."

He walked back into the field.

The god smiled again.

A new chapter in the world was beginning.
