Chapter 10: brother-in-law
The next day my alarm rang.... It wanted to mock me but it felt like I didn't let it... The tulips from the day before yesterday and the roses from the day before that qre still on my nightstand in their best color....
I went to freshen up before Aries yelled at me, then I went down to the kitchen and to my suprise mom was already sitting at the kitchen counter, drinking her coffee.... Black coffe... How can adults even drink that? Nevermind....
Mom: Morning sweetie
Jay: Morning Mom
Mom: Jay, why are you smiling?
Jay: I'm not
Mom: Jay... Sou are not usually this happy in the morning and you dont wake up this early... What happened?
Jay: nothing...
In the moment I said that Aries came into the kitchen
Aries: Jay... You are up early
Jay: yeah... Couldn't sleep
Aries: is it Watson?
Jay: No!
I said way too fast
Mom: okay okay... Leave her to be Aries....
And with that I sprinted out of the house and went to school. As usual my coffee fairy Maya was waiting for me, but not with coffee's in her hands but with candies... Why?
Maya: morning tornado girl
Jay: morning coffee fairy. Where did the coffee go?
Maya: today I brought coffe flavoured candy... Apperantly this has the same effect as coffee
Maya said as she handed me two of the candies
Jay: thanks... Coffee candy fairy
Maya: okay... You seem happy today tho... What happened?
Jay: nothing... Just my Mom and Aries interrogateing me early in the morning
Maya: you don't seem happy about interroagations on other days
Maya said as the bell rang and we went to class
We went to our lockers for our books and I found something in it.... A small teddy bear with a heart in its hands that said "be sweet love" and a coffee... My favourite coffee.... Maya was already behind be beaming from exitement...
Maya: girl... He did not....
Jay: he did...
I said with a sigh... I just grabbed my books and went to class.... Kiefer was glaring at the back of my head again... Periods passed and we finally had lunch... We got our lunches and sat at our usual table... And again... Kiefer took 6 minuites and 26 seconds- Yes I timed it again- to sit on the seat facing me.... And aries noticed it again...
Aries: Whatson... How many times do I have to tell you? My sister is OFF LIMITS!
Kiefer: hey Aries... Chill... We were just talking... And for you... I have something
Kifer said and put a paper in my brother's hand... Suprisingly Aries left after that and we just ate
Then we went tk class and after last period passed we went to our lockers. I stuffed the beat into my bag and the coffee was already gone by second period...
I just wanted to go back home and rest... But... Of course... Faith has an intresting sense of humor on me... Kiefer came up to me
Kiefer: Mariano... Liked the gifts today?
Jay: Watson... Who in the right mind would need a teddy bear?
Kiefer lieaned close to my ear and said: the person who I kissed yesterday and turned pink like the tulips i gave you the day before that....
And with that he turned on his heel and walked away...Maya was already beaming as always...
Maya: you are BLUSHING
Maya said like i committed a crime... I just shrigged it off and went home... But fate relly wanted to mess with me today couse Aries stopped me in the living room
Aries: Jasper Jean Mariano... What does he mean?
Jay-confused a heck-: what???
Aries shows her the note he got from Kiefer in the cafeteria. It says: dear brother-in-law... I would like to date your baby sister... May I?
My jaw hit the floor... Brother-in-law??? Date???? What the?!
Aries: looking at your reaction you did not know about this.... You can go now
I just slipped into my room, got ready for sleep and the minuite my head hit the pillow i was asleep
