Chapter 35 - Night tour invitation

"So, you guys want to... go for a night out tonight?"

At nine o'clock in the evening, Albert was writing a letter to his family when he overheard the twins' conversation, and his face twitched involuntarily.

It seems I haven't completed a task related to nighttime activities.

No!

no!

Don't be reckless!

Not yet!

Albert reached out and patted his cheek; going out for a night stroll now would definitely get him caught by Filch.

"Albert, do you want to come along?" the twins asked in unison.

"I've heard…" Albert put down his quill and turned to the twins, "The caretaker, Filch, knows most of the secret passages in the castle. This means he could easily catch you two who don't know anything about Hogwarts."

"If you don't want to be locked up in solitary confinement before school officially starts, it's best not to take any risks."

"That's what I said too. If we go for a night stroll now, we'll definitely get caught by the administrators," Lee Jordan quickly changed his tune and agreed.

"No, no, I don't think that's the most important thing. If you want to go night out, you must be prepared, otherwise you'll definitely get yourself into trouble." Albert shook his head and reminded him, "Gryffindor's courage is not recklessness. At the very least, you need to master the Light Charm first."

"Don't you think carrying an oil lamp is a hassle? It won't be easy for you to run away later." Albert put down his wand and pointed to "Selected Nineteenth-Century Spells" borrowed from the library. "The book contains the spell for the Disillusionment Charm. Once you master this spell, Filch will have a hard time catching you."

"So, you'd like to come with us for a night stroll?" The twins clapped their hands together, as if celebrating some happy occasion.

"You guys, you wouldn't…" Albert immediately understood their plan and shook his head, "It's not impossible for you to ask me to go for a night stroll with you, but not now. I don't want to get caught by Filch. I suggest you learn some useful spells first, so that we can wander around the school without getting caught by Filch."

"That's fantastic! With you on board, we have even more confidence in our nighttime tour plan." George excitedly linked arms with Fred, and the two began to dance a strange tap dance.

In the eyes of the Weasley twins, their roommate was still very reliable.

"Tomorrow, George, Lee, and I are planning to go to Hogsmeade again. Do you want to come along?" Fred asked, bringing up tomorrow's plans. "Only third-year students are eligible to go to Hogsmeade. However, we can sneak over through the secret passage. It's the only wizarding village in all of England."

"I want to go to Joko's joke shop to buy some; I didn't bring any money last time I went," George said excitedly.

"That's the best in all of Britain…" Lee Jordan was about to agree when Albert interrupted him.

"I'm not really interested in these prank items, but... it would be nice to see a wizard village."

There are quite a few tasks on the panel today. He glanced at it and immediately froze.

The adventure begins.

This is the beginning of a great adventure, leading you through secret passages to Hogsmeade, where you'll experience the thrill and excitement of adventure.

Reward: 100 experience points, George Weasley's favorability +5, Fred Weasley's favorability +5, Lee Jordan's favorability +5.

Favorability rating? What the heck is that?

Why does it feel like a strategy game?

Could it be that if both parties reach a 100% affinity level, they can become the legendary best buddies?

Albert quickly shook off the chilling thought from his head.

As a normal person, he said he couldn't accept the idea of gay men.

"Let's go together after breakfast," Albert agreed, then continued writing his letter. He would describe many things about Hogwarts based on the photos in his letters; Albert was an expert in this area, though he hadn't written in a long time, it was still a skill he used to use to make a living.

Fred and George didn't disturb him. The three of them were flipping through "Standard Spells, Beginner," looking for spells they could use. Albert was right; the oil lamp was too heavy. They should learn some spells.

A few minutes later, Albert suddenly smelled burning paper. He turned his head and found that the Prophet's newspaper was on fire, and the twins were jumping around trying to stomp out the flames.

"What the hell are you doing!" Albert put the unfinished letter back in the box, went over and opened the window to let the smoke in the room dissipate.

"George just tried the fire-starting spell," Fred coughed lightly. "The newspaper was successfully set on fire."

"You almost burned the carpet. Don't light fires in the room," Albert said irritably. "You can't even control magic perfectly yet. What if you set the room on fire?"

"I think I might have a talent for spells."

"How did you do that?" Lee Jordan asked curiously, eager to try casting the spell himself.

"Don't use it here. Go to the common room and aim it at the fireplace!" Albert dismissed the group with a curt tone.

What a troublesome bunch.

"If you still want to go to Hogsmeade Village tomorrow, you'd better learn the Light Charm. I don't want to carry oil lamps through the secret passage, and don't expect me to help you carry that thing."

"Okay, I think you're right. Let's practice the Light-Up Charm first. It's quite useful." George and Fred both agreed with Albert's suggestion.

Similar to Albert's initial use of the spell, the light could not last long, and Lee Jordan hadn't even lit the wand yet.

"You're not focused enough. Focus all your attention on your wands." Albert put the box back on his bedside table and looked at the three practicing the Glowing Charm, instructing them: "Don't hesitate when you wave your wand, and make your spells clear and accurate. Beginners need to concentrate."

"I always feel like you speak like a professor; maybe you could consider developing in that direction in the future," Fred asked jokingly.

I think I'll pass!

"Why?" George asked, puzzled.

"Being a professor is too tiring, especially dealing with a bunch of naughty kids. I don't have much patience, especially with strangers other than family and friends." Albert sat on the bed and picked up the Rubik's Cube on the table to start fiddling with it.

"What is this?" Fred was immediately drawn to the Rubik's Cube.

"A Rubik's Cube, a Muggle toy, used to train spatial reasoning, memory, and reaction time," Albert replied casually. He played with it purely out of boredom.

Of course, it also helps improve quick memory and quick reaction skills. Although the experience is limited, it's better than nothing and can also help pass the time.

The three of them mastered the Light-Up Charm in one night.

With enough effort, they can quickly master simple spellcasting incantations, although they are not yet proficient in using the Light Charm.
