Chapter 2 - No:2 sorry

After finishing her meal, Yuri went off to her tutoring session in high spirits.

It was Sunday, which should have been a day off, but Yuri was a genius, burdened with a deep-seated hatred, so naturally she had to work harder than the average person.

Not just Saturdays and Sundays, but even summer and winter breaks, Yuri was always in tutoring sessions.

She studied during the day and used Qin Yu as a test subject at night—she was incredibly diligent.

Qin Yu, on the other hand, was furious.

Paying for tutoring was a privilege Qin Yu was never going to have. The fact that she hadn't hanged him from a lamppost was already a huge favor; expecting more tutoring? Did she want to be stabbed?

Back in his small room at the bottom of the stairs, Qin Yu lay down on the bed again.

It wasn't that he was lazy, but this crappy place was impossible to stand up in!

He wasn't some shorty like Harry Potter; at over 1.9 meters tall, his massive frame made sitting difficult in a room that was barely 1.5 meters high, let alone standing.

"Fine, down the stairs it is. At least I'm getting protagonist treatment."

Lying on the bed, Qin Yu wasn't annoyed by his bad luck; instead, he excitedly closed his eyes.

The next second, a ball of light that had accompanied him through the transmigration lit up in his mind, enveloping his entire soul.

Ding! Hatred System activated! The host can absorb negative emotions from others to gain energy! Current energy: 0.

A cheat system, Qin Yu had that too. After all, as a transmigrator, if you didn't have some special abilities, what kind of transmigrator would you be?

Feeling the system's abilities in his mind, a glint flashed in Qin Yu's eyes.

Absorbing others' negative energy towards him? He was good at that!

Thinking back to his previous life, he only lived for a little over twenty years, and the number of times he was beaten up was equivalent to ten lifetimes for most people!

How foul-mouthed was he? Let's put it this way: he could provoke anyone who tried to break up a fight into beating him up too.

His last moments before dying were when the doctor couldn't stand his mouth anymore and forcibly removed his oxygen tube. While he might be a bit of a smart aleck, Qin Yu was still self-aware.

This world was different from his previous life. In his previous world, if you angered someone, they might at most beat you up.

But in this world, people had incredibly volatile tempers, readily pulling out guns and knives, and a slight misstep could cost you your life.

So, if you're going to court death, you have to choose the right target.

Otherwise, provoking the wrong person isn't just courting death, it's suicide.

Fortunately, there was a perfect target in this house.

Yuna, the former centurion who had a blood feud with him for killing her husband, but possessed a very gentle personality.

Suddenly sitting up in bed, Qin Yu, who had bumped his head on the rafters again, ignored the pain and excitedly rushed out of the room, finding Yuna in the kitchen.

This woman, now in her thirties, was undeniably beautiful; after all, she was a martial artist, a fourth-level martial artist at that, her body long since honed to its peak.

With a graceful figure, refined features, and long, flowing pony ears and tail, she truly embodied the phrase "still charming and alluring."

Standing at the door, Qin Yu took a deep breath, his face serious.

He had already analyzed the situation in his mind. Based on his previous memories, although both women harbored deep-seated hatred for him, unlike the hot-tempered Yuri who liked to beat him up for no reason, this mature woman was clearly very rational.

She hadn't let the hatred of the previous generation affect the next. While she was neither cold nor indifferent towards him, she was still quite normal.

At least in the 11 years from childhood to adulthood, Qin Yu had never been beaten by her.

This kind of person! Easy to bully!

He pushed open the door, took a deep breath, and immediately wanted to unleash his twenty years of keyboard warrior skills!

However, what happened next made Qin Yu gasp for breath, almost choking to death.

Hearing the commotion, Yuna whirled around, her eyes sharp, but upon recognizing the newcomer, her gaze softened instantly, and the cleaver she held slowly lowered.

"What are you doing here? We don't need your help here. Go back and rest."

Her tone was gentle, like a kind older sister whispering in your ear, yet this gentleness sent a chill down Qin Yu's spine.

As Yuna looked at him, a series of notification sounds rang in his ears.

"Inflicted extreme hatred, energy +103"

"Inflicted extreme hatred, energy +107"

"Inflicted extreme hatred, energy +112"

..."

(Holy crap!!!)

His face turned deathly pale. Staring at the smiling, gentle beauty before him, Qin Yu trembled like a leaf.

Without the slightest hesitation, Qin Yu immediately bowed at a 90-degree angle, his head almost touching his crotch.

"Red bean paste! Private Marseille!"

Thump! The door closed, and Qin Yu dashed back to his small room, shuffling under the covers.

In the kitchen, Yuna, still all smiles, slowly turned around, knife in hand, and began chopping vegetables again.

But perhaps it was just her imagination, the sound of her chopping grew louder and louder, until… *crack!*

That night, Yuri, having spent the day studying, finally returned home.

As she slipped off her shoes upon entering her room, she glanced at the trash can with a puzzled look.

"Mom, why is the cutting board broken?"

Staring at the trash can full of chopped pieces from the cutting board, Yuri was completely baffled.

Yuna, who was setting out the meal, brushed a strand of hair from her forehead and smiled warmly.

"It's nothing, it's old, I accidentally broke it."

"Huh? Isn't this a brand new solid wood cutting board? The shopkeeper said he'd replace it within ten years if it broke! I'm going to confront him right now!"

The fiery-tempered Yuri put her hands on her hips, turned around, and was about to go and cause trouble for the shop owner, but her mother, Yuna, grabbed her by the collar and forcibly dragged her into the living room.

"Alright, it's just a cutting board, I've already bought a new one."

"Hmph! Mother, you're just too gentle! You always laugh everything off! If you ask me, we should teach that heartless shopkeeper a lesson! Not only should he pay us back, but he should also apologize!"

Yuri said, swinging her fist, creating a whistling wind in front of her.

Seeing this, Yuna smiled slightly and reached out to ruffle Yuri's hair.

"Alright, it's nothing, why make trouble for yourself? Go, call him out for dinner."

"Huh? Me call him? Why should I!"

"Because he's a member of our family now."

"Hmph! Just a punching bag, daring to make me call him myself! I think he's asking for a beating!"

Rolling up her sleeves, Yuri walked towards Qin Yu's room, kicking the door open, only to be hit by the door bouncing back the next second, unsurprisingly.

She covered her nose and screamed, then put one hand on her hip and roared, trying to call Qin Yu out, but received no response.

Somewhat bewildered, she gently pushed open the door, only to find no Qin Yu inside, just a maggot wrapped in a blanket…
