Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Interruption of Death

Beyond time and space, a lifeless body of a man, covered in a clean white curtain, floated toward absolute darkness. A mild sound of cracking could be heard in the far distance—that was reality cracking with every decision a human makes that is not written in the Table of Fate.

A being with a cerulean blue ambience appeared in front of the body, radiating slight warmth—enough temperature to melt the frozen blood within. A voice echoed with deep bass:

"By the power and mercy of GOD, I command this body to regain its life."

The vibration of the bass-filled voice struck the body's heart. The divine glow breathed gently toward the body.

After a few moments, he opened his eyes only to see darkness. In confusion, he looked around, but there was nothing to see—an unusual silence surrounded him. In fragments, he remembered that he was dead, and he began screaming,

"What is this place? Where am I? Is there anyone here?"

The bass voice of the being echoed around him.

"Calm down, human. I am the one who summoned you. Your life on this Earth is over, as you have used all of your provided time and breath."

His heart was beating faster than usual. Though afraid, he gathered the courage to ask,

"If I'm dead… are you GOD?"

Before he could complete his sentence, the being replied,

"No. I am an Angel—just a small fragment of Him."

Before he could speak again, the divine being appeared in front of him in a human-like form, surrounded by cerulean blue ambience, with multiple wings waving back and forth.

"I summoned you in the middle of the journey toward the afterlife."

"In the middle of the journey?" he asked.

"Yes. Right now, you are traveling with the Angel of Death," the divine replied.

At this point, his fears were nowhere to be seen. As the divine spoke, a thought formed in his heart.

Isn't that called stealing? Did he just steal me from the Angel of Death? Is that what he's trying to say?

The divine heard his thoughts and replied,

"No, I didn't steal you. See here…"

It pointed its finger in a certain direction, and a crystal-clear sphere appeared in front of him. It showed a vision of a creature surrounded by black smoke falling from its body, its head covered with a smoky hood, carrying a pearl on a golden plate.

The divine spoke while showing the vision,

"That is the Angel of Death, and the pearl on the golden plate is your soul, being carried to the afterlife at this very moment. I have not stolen you—yet."

In confusion, he asked,

"If that's my soul, how am I here? And why is my soul a white pearl? And why am I in a human form here?"

"Aren't you curious about your death?" the divine asked.

"You were accused of murdering your own family, and you were executed by the law. Yet the Angel of Death carries you on a golden plate instead of a steel one—the plate we use to carry dirty souls, to cause suffering and pain throughout the journey."
