Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Activation

The sky was already enshrouded with darkness, when Heavenly took the keys out of his bag and opened the wooden door.

With a quiet sound, a normal environment was shown. Heavenly quickly entered the house and closed the door behind him.

"From the looks, no one is home ".

Heavenly thought as a sudden light came across his eyesight. Sky blue and a pitch of black engulfed the room to the right.

But a second later a human silhouette could be seen. It wasn't big, but there was someone.

"If I'm not wrong, then this must my big sister do her witchcraft. "

Heavenly was right. His sister has had her system for three years now and is hoping to finally get her second prestige.

Crack!

Heavenly took two steps and immediately got a backlash from it.

"Tch. Heavenly, you ruined my ritual! Do you even realize how much money our parents spent for this?"

Heavenly didn't snap back as usual. Instead, he lowered his gaze.

"Then… how can I make up for it?"

Aloe froze. That wasn't the brother she knew. Normally, he'd just glare at her and slam the door to his room.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you acting so… different?"

"Because I've seen the true nature of this world. Tomorrow is my activation. I can't afford to be the same anymore."

"Okay, I will Trust you for now."

One could see the frustration in Aloes' deep blue eyes. But that didn't change the fact that Heavenly took this change to go to his room upstairs.

The room, a mess. Everywhere papers regarding the Wialum.

"Wialum?"

"In my memory there isn't a book called Wialum?"

He flipped through scattered papers. Symbols, sketches, endless notes about something called "Wialum."

"Two thousand chapters… my predecessor obsessed over this like it was the Bible. But why?"

His thoughts clashed against each other. He wasn't sure what to do in this situation, but Heavenly knew that tomorrow was the activation day.

…

"Knock, Knock!"

A loud knock entered Heavenly's ears. He stood up immediately and knew that the time was right to get himself ready.

It is rather rare that he got woken up by his parents, but this situation is rather particular. It is the day of Activation. Heavenly only knew that he would become an opportunity to gain immense strength in this world.

He took his usual, crimson red, with a gold accent school uniform and made his way out of his house.

"I'm free."

"I didn't think highly of transmigration. But to think that I have obtained in this way my first sign to escape my old self's personality!"

"This is a restart, a perfect start to my new career. My target in my previous life was to become a middleman that has contact with every single person. Do you want drugs or rather gain good grades, then come to me!"

"But if I think about it every reality is perfection and cruelty at the same time. It all depends on fate. Do you look slightly off then a person would rather choose another person. "

Desperately, Heavenly came to the school building. He didn't go straight threw the main door. Right next to the building is a small, looking like a citadel, house.

At first glance it wasn't special but the light which came out of the pinnacle of it showed a lot of beauty. At the entry point there were already several huge lines, with waiting humans.

"What a line and there is also a sign to wait in the correct order."

To the left were people from the age of fifteen to twenty, then twenty-one to thirty and to the right people from the age of thirty-one to forty.

The reason it varies is that the potential perishes in the age. At the age of forty-one, the chance to activate your system is quasi zero.

But under this sign was another.

"Apparently, with the activation of a system a class can be chosen, but the rarity of the system affects the class, for example you cannot choose a very strong class with an uncommon system. After the evaluation, a mission will be appointed to you according to the class. Your mission decides your future. The rarer your system the stronger your potential is. The rarities consist of seven pieces."

The sign glimmered with seven engraved gems, each glowing in its own color, gray, green, blue, purple, yellow, crimson, and finally, a blinding white. Beneath them, a single line

"Uncommon, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exotic."

"So that's it. The higher the rarity, the greater the fate."

While waiting in line, Heavenly studied all the signs. Just as he was about to overthink, he became the next person to get his activation. He came into a room with beautiful carvings of humans, animals, and symbols.

Before him was now a five-meter-long corridor with a door at the end. Besides him, a waiter gave him a sheet of paper, which he should fill and give to the employee after he exits the building.

With confusion over Heavenly's face, the strong-looking metal door opened. This was his sign to get in.

In the new room, three people awaited him.

"From the looks of it two guards and a magician."

The magician stood behind an altar. The orb pulsed like a living heart, shifting colors every second, sometimes clear as glass, then burning green, then a sharp blue glow that hurt his eyes. Whispers echoed in the chamber, though no one spoke.

The magician's voice cut through the silence.

"Step forward. Touch the artifact."

With the request in mind, Heavenly touched it.

The moment his fingers brushed the orb, a searing light devoured the chamber. Green fire swallowed his vision, his mind, his very bones.
