Chapter 33 - Still directionless.

When Ken just got swallowed by the Ichthyosaur, he fell straight into its stomach.

And just as he remembered its look shown early on in the series. It was a sticky and fleshy environment, and multiple holes around the walls, which were actually where the stomach acids came from.

But unlike the start of the series, where Dokja was not only weaker, way weaker. He didn't even have any items or skills. But Ken wasn't like that right now, he had all he needed.

As he looked around, he suddenly remembered that there was a nucleus in this monster too. Which is why he literally cut around here and there inside the monster's stomach to find it.

By the time he came out of the monster's stomach and found it near its chest. The monster was already dead, since Ken got a notification about it. Which he even got coins for, since the coin event was going on right now.

As he grabbed and plucked out the nucleus, he opened the dokkaebi bag and put it up for auction.

"Hm… two thousand coins should be perfect… right?"

Ken was pretty sure that this thing is quite important, as Anna Croft originally traded this nucleus from Dokja with the auction for broken faith, which Dokja later evolved into his most iconic weapon, the unbreakable faith.

Now's not the time to be thinking all that. Which is why Ken decides to cut the monster apart and finally manages to get out.

While he was still swimming to be in one place and looked at where the others were. They were still waiting patiently for Ken to get out. Not so patiently it seemed. Since Han Sooyoung was already lying down on the ground.

And seeing it, all Ken could think of was if some of his habits somehow got to her. Since the original Han Sooyoung is not the type to do that.

But before Len could reach the other side. Multiple other Ichthyosaurs attacked him simultaneously, which is why he had to defend himself.

He could only defend himself, since it was not easy to fight in the water. Since the way of the wind is to both control, and at the same time, to let the wind flow. It can be used in various ways. Which is why Ken had an idea.

'If I… do it like this… and add this… done.!'

As Ken gathered air around him and started to rapidly move the air to give it a round shape. Then he kept on increasing the speed of movement to its limit. Then mixed water in and changed its shape to look similar to a pointed drill.

And that was just all he needed. As he propelled it as fast as he could while spinning it and shot it towards one of the monsters, it entered through one side of its stomach and came out of another.

It took Ken a bit of time to make, since he was being attacked. But now that he had succeeded once, he was sure he wouldn't have much trouble.

As he propelled himself towards one of the Ichthyosaurs, he landed on top of one of them and started to make the same type of wind bullets at an extremely fast rate.

As multiple of them were completed. He immediately shooted it at the place between their eyes. He kind of found where their brain is when he was wandering inside one of them.

As he killed some of them, he got some notifications stating how much coin he got.

Just as the one, he was on top of and tried to attack him. A vortex covered his sword and with a stab on its head, it immediately died

The monsters were really big. But the thing is that, no matter how big one is. When their brain is gone, they will automatically be gone.

After killing all the ones that were specifically attacking him. He tried to find their nucleus, but only got from one of them, which was bigger than most others. That is when Ken realized that only the bigger and stronger ones mostly had the nucleuses.

As Ken finally crossed the river and looked at the group, he saw that they were already. He felt like shit, but he couldn't say much.

They knew that they would have to face the same thing if they tried to cross. And they also just couldn't call Ken back, who got through a horde to cross it. More so, the biggest reason. Ken made them wait for hours.

He was pretty sure they thought of something like this. He is strong enough to not die at all, and injury? Never. We will come up with a plan to cross in the meantime. Let's leave that guy alone there. He can do other things in the meantime.

Though, that was what Ken had thought it might have been like. Which, he was right about.

When he was going around here and there, night was already there. Unlike the other times when they would take turns to sleep, now, Ken had to do it alone.

For the next four days, the only thing Ken did. It was to simply hunt monsters as much as possible. With regeneration, even his stamina would recover at a fast rate.

The upgrade in tier actually changed a lot of things about regeneration. Up until now, Ken would manually activate regeneration and use body control to guide it most of the time.

There was actually never a passive regeneration. It might look like it to others, but that was never passive. When he used it, it would drain his mana. And when mana is drained, it would drain stamina.

But now, it has a passive regeneration. Not that it is super fast, but way faster than that of any other incarnation of this level. With the fantasy logic of most stories, just being stronger would make your recovery multiple times faster. But the regeneration turned that into another few times faster than what it should be.

But again, it might seem like it's just increased healing, since regeneration means to regenerate a body part back. But this thing works more like a passive fast healing with little to no drawbacks. But actually, it also actually regenerated.

But at the same time, when Ken was hunting monsters like a maniac, he was also improving way faster than he would because of the stacked growth packages.

Because of the coin event and Ken putting up anything that looked good to auction. Ken was also getting quite a lot of coins easily. He still doesn't understand why most people don't do it like that.

Just hunt and put up useful things to auction. Might as well be the easiest way to get reach.

Right, and sometimes if some incarnations pick a fight with you. You can simply kill them. It has been over half a month, they have already adapted to all these, meaning that they also are strong and have a lot more coins than they did early on in the scenarios.

Not to forget that the constellations also sponsor coins.

And finally. After ten days of relentless hunting and doing the most random things, such as even going as far as to make two monsters fight each other after being too bored. "It's finally fucking over!... It's over!"

[Sub-scenario, Survival activities have come to an end.]

At first Ken was happy that this ended, but he quickly realized that since this ended, killing monsters won't give coins, making it so that killing monsters feels like a waste of time just like it used to at the very start.

At the same time, another big event was going to happen soon. Which was being hyped way too much. "The second sponsor selection."

[Multiple constellations are interested in you.]

[Multiple constellations want you to be their incarnation.]

[The constellations of the nebula The three idiots violently glare at other constellations.]

[The constellations of the nebula The three idiots bet among themselves as to who you will pick.]

[Many constellations are annoyed by the presence of The three idiots.]

When Ken made his fanfic, he made three unique constellations who follow him throughout the story.

First being the masochist of Joseon. Who he thought of as a commander of the army. Who is persistent as hell. Literally deserving the title of embodiment of being indomitable. And also really strong and skilled at the same time.

The second being the dead man who came back, who was just some prince or something like that. But insanely lucky as hell, to survive from things that would kill anyone else. Surviving just by a fraction of second, or just a centimeter. And way many things where anyone else would die.

Third and last of all. The merchant of Venice. Ken doesn't have much to say. He simply thought. Yeah, Antonio cuts the idea of a rich and smart as hell constellation.

When Ken reached the place where all the other incarnations were gathered for the second sponsor selection. Ken actually didn't really plan to select a sponsor, since he wanted to become a constellation himself. And for that, he can't have a supporting constellation.

As the words of the dokkaebi finally ended. A notification popped up.

[Sponsor selection.]

[Choose your supporting constellation.]

[The chosen constellation will be your reliable support.]
