Han Dishan and Gisa had been seriously planning their extremely foolish plan to sneak out in the afternoon and go to the city. Song Yan as usual sat in the corner pretending to hear nothing. He was suddenly startled, when he was called out.
" You will come with us." Han Dishan decided. That really did sound like an order. But Song Yan knowing one of the best story reciter among his fellow guards was to tell them a horror story felt like not going. He quickly searched for a reason not to come.
" My legs aren't quite fine."
Gisa just laughed it off." We can carry you ."
Song Yan was in no position to argue so he just shut his mouth. Gisa had seen through him. She then lowered her voice as she talked to Han Dishan.
" Just let him stay, he clearly doesn't want to come."
" Who knows if he betray us?"
" He can't do that."
" Who knows.." Mentally he added,
'Didn't Juda snitch on Jesus?? Trusting humans is investing in a soon to close company.' But still he decided to let him stay.
The sun had already gone out. Both of them stood in front of the wall.Gisa then gestured to Han Dishan to go.
" Ladies first."
" Ugh.. just climb."
He did it in an extremely smooth way that caught Gisa off guard. Gisa nodded her head in admiration. She also raised her arms to climb over the wall, but suddenly stop when she heard a beautiful voice.
" What do you think you are doing?"
Gisa turned. It was Hua Longxue. Gisa glanced at the wall and then at Hua Longxue. What was she not seeing to ask such nonsense? Gisa decided to answer anyway.
" Climbing over the wall." Her lips slightly curves upward and then added, " Sneaking out."
" Why don't you just use the main gate?" Gisa gave a careless shrug.
" That's out of fashion."
Before she could say anything else, Han Dishan's voice was heard.
" What's wrong with you there?"
" I am...."
She then saw Han Dishan sitting on the top of the wall. Han Dishan seemed to realize Hua Longxue was there just then. He gave a smile he didn't get back, and immediately jumped back down. Gisa also quickly climbed over the wall.
Hua Longxue unable to do anything else, gave a frown.
" Trouble is on our side." Gisa spouted out.
" Brave men always come across with trouble." Said Han Dishan with a straight face.
Gisa snorted," You have got a sharp mouth recently,...."
The streets were loud, countless of stalls arranged along the way, making the atmosphere lively. Han Dishan glanced at Gisa's face. She was delighted. She then cupped her hand together and dramatically shook her head. " Onyx city really never fails me... Let's go buy somethings." She talked as if she was sad but was clearly happy. She then went to the closest stall.
" How much is skewers?" She politely asked.
" Fifteen crystal coins."
Gisa's eyes widened as she quickly blurted out, " Can you be serious? Is that a piece of land or a pair of horse?? Fifteen, fifteen... That's a funny joke."
" That's the price ." The stall keeper said trying to keep her cool.
" Joker." Gisa spouted at the stall keeper and then pulled Han Dishan by the wrist to another stall. The stall keeper quickly stopped her.
" I will take fourteen.."
" Two." Both the stall keeper and Han Dishan opened their eyes wide at her. The stall keeper looked extremely displeased.
" Two???!! Am I selling an ant's kidney??!! Venerable one, I allow you to go to another stall." Before Gisa could say anything else, she spotted a girl on the other stall carefully chosing some fruits. As she was still carelessly holding Han Dishan's wrist, she pulled him towards the girl.
" Long time no see Kaala." Gisa cheerfully greeted the girl. In response, she also dropped the calmness she had been possessing.
" Long time!!! I thought you were dead."
She then seemed to see Han Dishan only then.
" Oh, my greetings."
" Greetings." Han Dishan replied with uncommon coldness. Gisa secretly glanced at him.
The smile on the Kaala's lips was giving him goosebumps for some reasons. He wanted to just walk away. " What about you, visit me for a while? My mother really miss you."
" That's fine." Gisa was extremely pleased. They walked to Kaala's home. The girls were happily spouting nonsense while Han Dishan was calmly walking beside them with no will to talk.
Gisa studied Han Dishan's expression and bent her head to whisper to him, " It won't take much time."
When they reached at the entrance gate, Kaala stopped walking and turned at them,
" I will pick up herbs near here, please wait inside."
" That's fine." Gisa replied calmly. After Kaala left they entered the gate.
" That girl...."
" She is okay... Three of us met months ago. You don't like her for absolutely no reason. Don't feel to bad. It's quite normal."
"..."
They all stopped talking at the same time feeling that the air in the courtyard was strangely still. They glanced at each other. Gisa then slowly pushed the door open. Their eyes widened at the scene. Three people lying down in the same position. Their faces dead pale, a deep X cut embroidered on their skin, their lips slightly opened. Gisa didn't care at all details before she suddenly collapsed. Han Dishan quickly crouched on her side to support her.
" Wh..."
They then heard rushed footsteps, Han Dishan was the only one who got the strength to look back. A number of people in sleek black uniform were there. Each with a sword on his hip. Among that uniformed crowd, he spotted Kaala entering the gate gasping for her breath as if she had just stopped running. She seemed overly confused . Seemingly asking herself what those people were in her home. She tried to move forward but was suddenly stopped.
She glared at the man stopping her and then her eyes locked with Han Dishan. She sensed that something was wrong.
" Let go of me." She commanded failing to hide the impatience and worry in her heart. In the end she was ignored.
