Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Their next stop was in prison. Han Dishan sat in the corner of the cell away from other bunch of wrong doers who were just telling stories.

Besides dead cold floor beneath him,the image of those corpses kept floating in his head _along side the other similar corpses he had once dreamt of under home arrest, was giving him heartaches.

His gaze flicked towards the cell next to him. While other female law breakers sat in the middle playing some games, Gisa was tightly hugging her knees to her chest . Her body tense.Sometimes, the ladies would glance at her and whispered among themselves.Perhaps wondering what sin she had committed or how to comfort this seemingly depressed person. In the end no one approached as they all decided it wasn't the right time. They decided that she would eventually calm down.

Han Dishan himself was sure he could have been calm if he hadn't t seen a similar scene in his dream. Although his face showed no worries, he felt extremely pressured.Did all of this have any connections with him? If so, then, this was bitter , far from better. He wanted to shout but was in no position to. In the end, only a sigh escaped from his lips.

' Damn, I am getting in many trashy things.'

He couldn't help but glance at Gisa who was now slowly banging her head on the wall.

" G..."

The ladies quickly rushed towards her holding her shoulder.

" Calm down young lady. "

" Yeah, be calm ,be calm."

She only swept her gaze across their faces, before hazily closing her eyes, leaning on the wall. Turning deaf ear to whatever her cell mates were gossiping about.

Trouble was really on their side.

For a moment, she felt subconscious. Her attention was brought by Han Dishan's voice which kept calling her. She shot him a death glare but instead of getting angry or frowning, he politely gestured that she should stand up. She didn't have time to complain,as a justiciar harshly told her move. And she was expected to respect her order. They were brought towards long staircase that took forever to finish. When the door at the end was opened, there in front of them was a huge hall divided into a number of cells by transparent walls. Each cell contained a maximum of ten people. People were busy reading some paperworks. Others coming and going. There was another simple cell in the corner . Unlike others, it had bars and no one was inside. Without warning, they were shoved inside.

Han Dishan muttered a curse under his breath with murderous thoughts. How did they find themselves in this kind of situation?' He glanced Gisa who was now like a bird soaked in cold water and mentally sighed. No one had taught him how to comfort people, so he just kept his mouth shut to avoid saying something totally wrong.

' Sigh... Jesus... I am hating this world.'

" I wonder how Kaala is right now." Gisa unexpectedly thought aloud.

" She'll be fine."

" That's not going to be easy."

They then spotted Kaala talking to a justiciar ,her head slightly lowered. Gisa quickly stood up and approached the bars. Han Dishan also feeling bad for the girl ,slowly stood up. Kaala's steps gradually reduced the nearer she got to the cell, and finally stopped when she was right in front of the cell.Gisa's grip on those cold bars tightened.

Kaala's eyes were bloodshot from crying. The sorrow and grief in those eyes made Gisa's blood stop flowing for a moment as she looked into them. She was strongly resisting the urge to burst out and cry. Weren't they laughing together just a while ago? How did it turn to this? The world was really harsh.Kaala unhurriedly locked eyes with Han Dishan. Han Dishan's heart clenched. It wasn't because of pity, he rather felt discomfort for one reason or another. For a moment, he forgot that Kaala had just lost her family. In his eyes, this girl stood in a complete darkness, smiling mischievously at him. He smelled blood lust leaking from the girl's eyes. His hands started sweating.

Kaala nodded at them, pursed her lips and slouched forward. Gisa's hands slipped off the bars. She slouched towards Han Dishan and sat next to him. Han Dishan eyes were wide as he stared at the place Kaala had been standing. He swallowed, his heart racing,' Shame on me, that girl just lost his fam....what the fuck am I....shit. damn...' he then subconsciously searched Gisa's eyes. He only saw worry, she had for Kaala and nothing more.

' Unexpected things happen all the time.' Gisa thought with a heavy heart. The quietness in the cell suddenly triggered countless thoughts to cloud their minds.

" There they are." One middle aged justiciar said.

Gisa and Han Dishan raised their heads at the same time only to notice Hua Longxue was coldly staring at them.

" They are innocent. One of the family member had been with them." He added lazily. Hua Longxue gave a cold smile as she gazed at the two of them. Her smile swiftly switched to a warm one as soon as she turned to the punisher. Han Dishan was bewildered.

' Oscar award to the top hypocrite.'

Gisa only frowned.

" Lance,Do you mind if we talk for a while?"

"Not at all." Lance answered with a smile. Politely, he led her out.

" I'm sure we are going to stay here for a few days." Gisa coldly muttered.

" It's still better than getting home prisoned."

" Oh, yeah?? " There was silence.

" By the way do all house have underground prisons?"

" No....no... No more questions." Gisa then lay down. Han Dishan pursed his lips.

After a while Lance came back alone and opened the door for them. He silently led them out.

There was a single carriage.Hua Longxue inside, slowly raised the curtains. The coldness in her voice alone was enough to freeze the sun.

" As soon as you reach. See yourselves in the punishing room."

And just like that , she heartlessly left them there.

" Tss... She is nothing like her mother." Lance said calmly shaking his head. Four pair of eyes eyed at him.

" Watch your eyes ,youngans." With that he went back inside.
