The group carried Mia's unconscious body to the Alden mansion, a mix of exhaustion and relief etched on their faces. As they laid her on a soft bed, Amara turned to the others, her eyes still glowing with a hint of vampire energy.
"We need to keep a close eye on her," Amara said, her voice low and concerned. "The Hallow's power was immense. We don't know what kind of effect it will have on Mia."
Kia, still in his werewolf form, nodded in agreement. "I'll stay with her. Make sure she's safe."
But it was Mike, the mysterious vampire, who took Mia's side, his eyes filled with worry as he watched over her. He hadn't left her side for a week, refusing to let anyone else care for her.
As the days passed, Mia remained unconscious, and Mike's worry grew. He had known Mia since they were kids, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing her.
Finally, as the sun began to rise on the eighth day, Mia's eyes flickered open. Mike was by her side instantly, his eyes locked on hers with relief.
"Mia, you're okay," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.
The others crowded around her, their faces filled with joy and relief. Amara, Kia, Carla, and Lyrein all smiled, happy to see Mia awake.
As Mike helped her sit up, Mia looked around, confusion etched on her face. "What happened?" she asked, her voice weak.
The group exchanged a look, and Amara smiled. "You're okay, Mia. The Hallow is gone. You're safe."
Mia's eyes widened as memories of the previous night flooded back. She looked at Mike, her gaze searching his face. "Mike?"
Mike's eyes locked onto hers, and he smiled, his fangs glinking in the morning light. "Hey, kiddo. Long time no see."
Mia's eyes widened in shock. "Mike? But...but how? You're...you're a..."
Vampire, she didn't need to say it. Mike nodded, his smile still in place. "Yeah, I am. I've been keeping an eye on you, Mia. You don't know how worried I've been."
Lyrein stepped forward, a small pendant in her hand. "Agreya and Elianore left this for you, Mia. They said you'd know what it means if you ever needed their help."
Mia took the pendant, feeling a surge of energy flow through her. Beside it lay an ancient-looking book, bound in black leather. "And this?" she asked.
Lyrein smiled. "They said it's time you started writing your own grimoire, Mia. You're a powerful witch, and it's time you had the tools to harness that power."
Mia's eyes widened as she opened the book, feeling a rush of magic and possibility. She looked up at Mike, a question in her eyes.
Mike smiled, his eyes crling at the corners. "We'll figure it out, he said Lyrein feel disgusted at what he said and the way he cling to her like her lover he said in his mind
As Mia and Mike sat together, chatting and laughing, Aunt Claudia entered the room with a steaming cup of herbal medicine. The pungent aroma filled the air, and Mia's nose wrinkled in distaste.
"Ugh, what is that?" she asked, trying to wave away the smell.
Aunt Claudia chuckled. "It's a special blend to help you recover, child. Drink up."
Mia hesitated, but Mike gently took the cup from Aunt Claudia and held it out to her. "Come on, Mia. You know it's good for you."
With a sigh, Mia took the cup and drank the bitter liquid, making a face as she swallowed. Aunt Claudia patted her hand. "Good girl. Now, let her rest, Mike. She's still recovering."
As the others departed, Mia turned to Mike, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, vampire, huh? How long have you been...like that?"
Mike leaned back in his chair, a faraway look in his eyes. "Since your parents went missing, actually. I was just a baby, and they dropped me off at the orphanage. I've been looking out for you ever since."
Mia's eyes widened in shock. "What? You've been watching me since I was a baby?"
Mike nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah. I had to make sure you were safe. And we became friends at summer camp, remember?"
Mia's mind reeled as she thought back to their time at camp. She had been so young, and Mike had been her protector and partner in crime. But she had never suspected a thing.
As they chatted, the others outside the room exchanged knowing glances. Kia raised an eyebrow. "I think there's more to this than just friendship."
Amara nodded, a sly smile spreading across her face. "I agree. This is getting interesting."
Carla grinned. "Who do you think Mia will fall for? Lyrein or Mike?"
Aunt Claudia chuckled, shaking her head. "We'll just have to wait and see. But one thing's for sure, Mia's in for an interesting ride."
As the group dispersed, Lyrein lingered, hid eyes fixed on the door to Mia's room. A small smile played on her lips, and she whispered to herself, "Game on."
Meanwhile, inside the room, Mia and Mike were lost in their own world, oblivious to the battle of love brewing around them.
Lyrein was so angry after hearing Mike talking of protecting Mia all his life Lyrein bust in and sad it getting dark in an angry tone.
