The evening sun cast a warm glow over the Alden mansion, and the air was filled with the savory aroma of dinner. Lyrein entered Mia's room, her face etched with concern, and found her sitting with Mike, deep in conversation. "Dinner's ready," he said, hid voice a little softer than usual.
But Lyrein was still angerd about what he said the last time kia Amara was in the kitchen.
As they made their way to the dining room, the others were already seated, with Aunt Claudia serving the food. Kia, Amara, and Carla chatted and laughed, but Lyrein's somber mood was palpable. Mike noticed and raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
Just as they began to eat, a sudden gust of wind swept through the door, extinguishing the candles and sending the room into darkness. Mike's eyes flashed with warning as he stood up, his voice low and menacing. "Another vampire is here."
The sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway, growing louder with each passing moment. The vampire burst into the room, his eyes scanning the table before landing on Mia. A sly grin spread across his face. "Wow, what a nice dinner. The Alden witch and her little coven of friends. Why don't you just form a rescue committee?"
Lyrein's eyes narrowed, her face pale. "Davey, the 25th elder of the Michaelson organization," she whispered, her voice dripping with venom.
Mia's eyes glowed with a fierce light as the power within her began to erupt but she wasn't able to maximize her power yet but. Her desire to kill Davey was palpable, and Mike quickly moved to hold her shoulder, his grip firm. "If he wanted to attack, he should have done that already," he whispered, his voice calm.
Davey's grin grew wider, his eyes gleaming with malice. "You think you're powerful, don't you, Mia? Controlling the Hallow's power after one rescue. But let me tell you, we will do everything to kill you and lift the Veil with your blood as the key."
And you will do it willingly hmm you think you can stop us hmm no one has ever survived our attack in a scentury and no one will ever will
Mia's eyes flashed with anger, and Mike's grip on her shoulder tightened. Davey's words had struck a chord, and she knew he was after her parents. "You won't find them," she growled, her voice low and menacing.
Davey chuckled, his laughter sending shivers down their spines. "Oh, we will. And when we do, we'll make sure you give up, just to save them."
With a mocking bow, Davey turned and disappeared into the night, leaving the group stunned and shaken. The air was heavy with tension, and Mia's eyes still glowed with a fierce light. The battle lines had been drawn, and the war had just begun.
The group's faces were etched with worry and fear as they sat in stunned silence, the only sound the echoing of Davey's laughter in their minds. Mike's grip on Mia's shoulder remained firm, a reassuring presence in the midst of chaos.
Aunt Claudia was the first to break the silence, her voice shaking slightly. "Well, I think it's time we had a talk about the family business, don't you, Mia?"
Mia nodded, her eyes still flashing with anger, but a hint of determination creeping in. "Yeah, it's time we stopped running and started fighting."
Lyrein stood up, her eyes gleaming with a fierce light. "I'm with Mia. We've been hiding for too long. It's time we take the fight to Davey and the Michaelson organization."
Kia, Amara, and Carla nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. The group began to discuss their next move, their voices low and urgent.
As they talked, Mike leaned in, his voice barely audible. "Mia, I need to tell you something. Your parents...I know where they are."
Mia's eyes snapped to his, a mix of shock and hope on her face. "What do you mean? Where are they?"
Mike's expression was grim. "I'll tell you, but you need to promise me you'll stay calm. It's not safe to talk heredhe was hesitant a bit but kept her cool demeanor. Let's get out of here and I'll explain everything."
Mia's eyes searched his face, and she knew she could trust Mike. She nodded, and Mike stood up, his eyes scanning the room. "We're going to take a walk. We'll be back."
The group nodded, their eyes following Mia and Mike as they slipped out of the room, into the darkness of the night. The fate of the Alden family, and the entire supernatural world, hung in the balance, and the battle was only just beginning.
