Sophia sat in the palace library, surrounded by dusty tomes and forgotten secrets. Lady Victoria had given her a stack of documents to review, and Sophia was determined to uncover the truth.
As she worked, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around the room, but there was no one in sight. She shrugged it off and continued reading.
But the feeling persisted, growing stronger with each passing minute. Sophia's heart was racing, and her mind was filled with questions. Who was watching her? And why?
Suddenly, the lights flickered and the room went dark. Sophia's breath caught in her throat as she heard footsteps approaching. The door creaked open, and a figure slipped inside.
"Sophia," a voice whispered, low and husky. "I've been waiting for you."
Sophia's eyes adjusted to the darkness, and she saw Prince Henry standing before her. Her heart skipped a beat as he stepped closer, his eyes locked onto hers.
"What are you doing here?" Sophia asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Prince Henry's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I've been watching you, Sophia. I know what you're looking for, and I can help you."
Sophia's mind was racing. Could she trust Prince Henry? And what did he want from her?
"What do you mean?" Sophia asked, her voice cautious.
Prince Henry's smile was charming, but his eyes were cold. "I mean, Sophia, that you've been groomed for deceit. You've been manipulated, used as a pawn in a game you don't understand."
Sophia's heart was pounding, as she tried to process Prince Henry's words. What did he mean? And who was manipulating her?
"Who's doing this?" Sophia asked, her voice low and urgent.
Prince Henry's eyes locked onto hers, his expression intense. "The Queen, Sophia. She's been using you to get what she wants."
Sophia's mind was reeling. The Queen? Her benefactor, her friend? Could it be true?
As Prince Henry's words sank in, Sophia realized that she had been blind. She had been so caught up in her own ambition, so eager to prove herself, that she had ignored the warning signs.
She had been groomed for deceit, and now she was trapped in a web of lies and manipulation.
Sophia's eyes locked onto Prince Henry's, her voice firm. "I want out. I want to leave the palace, and forget everything."
Prince Henry's smile was sympathetic, but his eyes were cold. "I'm afraid it's too late for that, Sophia. You're in too deep. But I can help you, if you help me."
