Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

Looking at the fragrant Kobe steak, the four of them froze in place for a brief moment.

"Rimo , you… you had food hidden on you? No, that's impossible. I checked your body before. You clearly had nothing on you!"

Uvogin, whose personality was the most straightforward among the three, was the first to speak.

"No." Machi spoke calmly, her eyes fixed on Rimo 's hand. "That piece of meat appeared directly from his hand. It wasn't taken out from anywhere."

"If that's the case…" Nobunaga narrowed his eyes slightly, his hand unconsciously resting near the broken blade at his waist. "Could this be a strange Nen ability? Something like Conjuration? Or maybe an ability similar to those used by guards directly trained by the Meteor Street elders?"

Although he still didn't fully understand what had just happened, Rimo knew very clearly what Nobunaga was referring to.

Nen.

In this world, abilities that created objects out of thin air usually belonged to Conjurers. However, Rimo did not feel any sign of Nen awakening at all. There was no aura circulation, no sense of Ten, Zetsu, or Ren, and he had never undergone any form of Nen initiation.

But right now, he had no way to explain it clearly.

"I really don't know either," Rimo said helplessly. "I just felt like I could do it… and then it happened."

Uvogin's eyes instantly lit up, like a beast spotting prey.

"Don't worry about how you did it!" he said excitedly. "What I want to know is, can you do it again? Can you keep making meat?"

For once, Uvogin asked a surprisingly sharp question.

Indeed, there was no need to dig into the source of the ability right now. For people living in Meteor Street, the result mattered far more than the reason.

Food.

Especially meat.

If Rimo could continuously produce food, then that meant one thing: they would never have to worry about starving again.

In Meteor Street, food was more important than money, weapons, or status.

Nobunaga glanced at Uvogin with visible surprise. "Didn't expect you to think that far."

Machi shot Uvogin a glance. "He just happened to guess right."

Uvogin ignored them both and urged impatiently, "Rimo , try it again."

"I think… it should work."

Before Rimo even finished speaking, another Kobe steak of identical size appeared out of thin air in his left hand.

Uvogin didn't hesitate at all. He grabbed it instantly and took a huge bite.

The meat was tender and juicy. The texture was perfect, the temperature just right, and the sauce complemented the beef without overpowering it.

In that moment, Uvogin felt as if every cell in his body was cheering.

This was the best food he had eaten in his entire life.

For more than ten years, Uvogin had survived on scraps, stolen food, and whatever barely passed as edible in Meteor Street. He once believed that the roasted chicken Machi made was already the peak of human cuisine.

He was wrong.

Tears flowed down uncontrollably as he continued eating, stuffing the steak into his mouth without slowing down.

Nobunaga stared at him in shock. He had known Uvogin for years and had never seen him like this.

"Uvogin? Hey! What's wrong with you?"

Uvogin ignored him completely. After swallowing the last bite, he took a deep breath and roared loudly,

"It's delicious!!!"

The sudden shout made Rimo 's ears ring, and Nobunaga nearly jumped from the shock. Only Machi avoided it by covering her ears the moment she saw Uvogin inhale.

"You idiot!" Nobunaga slapped Uvogin on the head angrily. "Why are you yelling like that?!"

Uvogin didn't care at all. He grabbed Nobunaga's shoulder excitedly.

"Nobunaga, Machi, try it! You have to try it! It's so good you won't believe it!"

"Is it really that exaggerated?" Nobunaga said skeptically. The steak looked appetizing, yes, but crying over food still sounded ridiculous.

"It really is!" Uvogin insisted. "If you don't believe me, try it yourself. Rimo ! Rimo ! Make more!"

Judging from how it felt earlier, creating food didn't seem to drain him at all.

Rimo placed his hand above the table and created more than a dozen steaks in one go.

Considering Uvogin's body size, anything less probably wouldn't even count as a snack.

Uvogin grabbed two steaks at once and looked at Nobunaga and Machi expectantly, like someone desperately recommending something amazing.

Under his gaze, Nobunaga and Machi hesitated for a moment, then each picked up a steak.

The moment the meat entered their mouths, their pupils widened simultaneously.

A sensation they had never experienced before spread from their tongues to their entire bodies.

Only then did they truly understand what Uvogin meant by every cell cheering.

It really was delicious.

"Hahaha! See? I told you!" Uvogin laughed triumphantly.

After that, no one spoke anymore.

They focused entirely on eating.

Even Machi, who was usually the calmest and coldest among them, ate faster than usual.

After all, she was still only eleven years old.

Seeing Machi eat like that, Rimo couldn't help feeling a little soft inside.

As for Uvogin and Nobunaga… with their physiques, sympathy was pointless.

Machi noticed Rimo looking at her and glanced back suspiciously, her expression clearly asking if he was thinking something strange.

Rimo just smiled.

She stared for a moment longer, then turned back to the steak, unable to resist the temptation.

Rimo watched this scene and smiled quietly.

She really was still a child.

He finally picked up his own steak and ate slowly. Even though he didn't feel hungry, good food always lifted one's mood.

Today had been overwhelming enough. At least he could rely on this ability.

If he truly had to eat those unknown black cakes, he might actually lose his sanity.

After finishing the meal, Uvogin and Nobunaga collapsed on the ground without any image, rubbing their visibly swollen stomachs.

Machi was more restrained, but her slightly bulging belly still betrayed her condition.

Rimo had created over thirty steaks in total. Aside from the two he ate himself, the rest all went into the stomachs of the three of them.

Rimo was honestly stunned.

This really was a world where twelve-year-olds could move mountains with proper training.

Their appetite alone was terrifying
