Thomas snapped out of his daze. He suddenly realized that with such simple ingredients, she had still managed to create a full spread of four dishes. It was almost unbelievable.
They carried the dishes to the table, and Mary followed with the pot of rice. Once everything was set, she sat down and noticed that Thomas was still staring at the food, stunned.
She tapped the table lightly with her fork. "Eat."
Ryan was already halfway through his bowl of rice. Noticing that Mary was paying attention to Thomas, he paused, then discreetly kicked Thomas under the table.
Thomas stiffened. He knew exactly who had done it and didn't dare say a word. He quickly picked up his fork and started tasting the dishes.
