Suddenly, Rowan's hand shot out and grabbed Lucian's arm- hard.
Lucian's eyes widened in shock. Of course he wasn't expecting this reaction from the usual cold CEO. Before he could react, before he could say a word, Rowan opened the car door and practically pushed him into the passenger seat.
That strength, that sudden burst of will- it had come from nowhere, surging through Rowan like a force he couldn't control.
Even Lucian that always seemed to expect any situation and be in control, couldn't help being shocked. He was taken aback so much that he just stared at Rowan.
The young man standing nearby was equally shocked, his mouth hanging open as he watched the scene unfold.
Rowan didn't spare either of them another glance. He got into the driver's seat, slammed the door shut, and immediately began driving- fast, aggressive, his knuckles gradually turning white as he gripped the steering wheel.
He had driven for a few minutes before he realized what he had just done.
