Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 :Siddolf Heidel

Crack—

Hidolf Hedley, who was carrying stones on his back, received a whip lash.

He lowered his head, panting from exhaustion, and gnashing his teeth with hatred.

He had worked all day and expected to rest in the evening, but was dragged by the slave owner to repair the city wall again!

The most hateful thing was that the slave owner wasn't even willing to give them, the slaves, a bite of dinner, let alone let them rest!

"You damn animal, move faster!

If the area I'm responsible for isn't repaired tonight, I'll skin you tomorrow!"

After speaking, the overseer saw that Hidolf was still standing frozen in place and whipped him again.

Crack—

A new scar was added to Hidolf's back, which was already covered in wounds.

With this whip, Hidolf could no longer bear it!

He threw away his basket, picked up a stone, and rushed towards the overseer.

The overseer, who didn't react in time, could only watch as the stone smashed towards him.

"Ah!" A sharp, miserable scream suddenly rang out!

"I'll kill you!" Hidolf kept swinging the stone in his hand until he completely shattered the overseer's head.

Hidolf stumbled to his feet and roared at the surrounding slaves:

"If we keep doing this, we'll all die from exhaustion. Since we're going to die anyway, why can't we die fighting for freedom?"

With that said, Hidolf ignored what the surrounding slaves were thinking, picked up an iron shovel, and charged towards the soldiers gathering in the distance.

"Kill!"

Hidolf roared and charged alone.

"Damn it, let's fight!"

"That's right, we're going to die anyway, might as well fight them!"

"For freedom!"

For a moment, the older slaves began to hesitate.

But the young slaves had already picked up any usable weapon at hand and followed behind Hidolf, charging towards the fully armed soldiers!

The moment Hidolf's shovel collided with a soldier's spear, a great era quietly began!

The chaotic battle began.

And gradually spread outwards.

Some slaves took advantage of the chaos to escape, while more slaves shouted "For freedom" and joined the melee.

But there was a reason why the older slaves hesitated.

Hidolf led those who chose to follow his uprising towards the docks.

Although they fought fearlessly, the soldiers wearing leather armor and holding long spears were not easy to deal with.

Especially with the slave owners continuously sending reinforcements, they would eventually be worn down and killed.

As the slave owners' reinforcements increased, the thousands of rebellious slaves, including Hidolf, were being surrounded by the slave owners' reinforcements.

If this continued, it wouldn't be long before this massive uprising would disappear like a stone thrown into the sea, without causing a single ripple!

Hidolf knew this couldn't go on, or his side would eventually be worn down by the slave owners.

"We must unite and break through the encirclement! It will be safe once we retreat outside the city!" Hidolf roared.

Hearing Hidolf's words, everyone's morale soared again, and they roared as they charged towards the weakest point of the encirclement!

The commander of the Tyroshi Regular Army naturally saw through the slaves' intentions and immediately ordered with a sneer.

"Shields!"

The front-row soldiers quickly set up a shield wall, with sharp spearheads extending from behind it!

Thud—Thud—

The sound of sharp weapons piercing flesh constantly rang out, echoing in Hidolf's ears like the wails of demons!

As people around him fell one by one, Hidolf also began to grow anxious.

He blindly led his men in three charges, all of which ended in failure!

"Calm down, calm down!" Hidolf forced himself to calm down and stood on the pile of dead bodies, searching for a way to break the situation.

Unfortunately, he didn't find a way to break the situation, but instead saw archers rushing to reinforce in the distance.

Once the archers were in position, they would have no hope left!

Unwilling to give up, Hidolf led his men in several more attempts, but still failed to break through the enemy's military formation and encirclement!

Kalom sneered and commanded the Tyroshi Regular Army to gradually shrink the encirclement.

"A bunch of fools."

He had been the commander-in-chief of the Tyroshi Regular Army for twenty years, suppressing sixteen slave uprisings!

The largest slave uprising even involved nearly ten thousand slaves, but wasn't he still able to slowly play with them until they died?

A bunch of slaves gathered together, got hot-headed, and launched an uprising. Even if they successfully escaped the city in the end, what then?

They had no supplies, no support, and their numbers were getting fewer and fewer. It was only a matter of time before they were completely wiped out.

The encirclement began to gradually shrink, and the archers were also about to arrive on the battlefield!

Despair began to spread in everyone's hearts!

But everyone knew that whether they surrendered or not, the slave owners would execute them to warn the other slaves not to have any rebellious thoughts!

So no one was prepared to surrender, not Hidolf, and not the people behind him!

Just as Hidolf was preparing to fight like a trapped beast until the end.

A sudden change occurred!

"Hiss—Ang!"
