Chapter 31 - Chapter 31:When Faith Meets the Battlefield

When no path is left in sight, God becomes the final option.

But if one chooses to fight on their own—believing that solving the problem themselves is the only way out—then even God runs forward to help. Trusting God is right, but depending on Him alone for every small and big trouble will never pull you out of it.

And just like that, we were left with only one option—to fight.

We weren't even sure if we would win or not. Yet, with faith in God, we stepped into the battlefield.

Andy had fully recovered. Seeing him strong again filled my heart with deep relief. Clara hugged him tightly, tears in her eyes, thanking God over and over again. Ali and I couldn't help but smile at the sight. Andy gently pulled her away and said with a grin,

"I'm completely fine. And when Siya is around, can anything really happen to me?"

Siya added softly, "We literally tore the earth apart to save you. Clara was terrified the entire time."

Andy looked confused. "Really?"

Then Siya's expression turned serious.

"Now that you're fine, get to work."

Andy frowned. "What kind of work?"

Siya gestured toward the divine herbs.

"See if a medicine can be made from these—something that can cure people before they turn into Screevers or mutants. Ali, Clara, and I will clear the villages of the Screevers spreading terror."

Andy smirked.

"Siya, my hands have been itching for days. Let Ali make the medicine."

Siya smiled knowingly.

"You've just recovered. Control your itch for violence for now and focus on the cure. I trust you the most with this."

Andy nodded happily.

Suddenly, a brilliant light burst from Andy's body. His wounds healed on their own, his scars vanished, and his entire presence transformed. Before our eyes stood a radiant, powerful young man—almost elemental, unreal. Everyone stared in shock.

Siya had now seen the true power of the divine herbs. For the first time, she could see a clear path… and hope.

Without wasting another second, she ordered Andy to begin his work. The rest of us headed toward the village.

As we moved forward, the Screevers' screams grew louder—closer.

Then we faced them.

The Screever who had injured Andy stood before us again. He looked like their leader. With a single gesture, his army attacked.

We were preparing to strike when a sudden roar echoed—followed by a massive group of Screevers being thrown aside like broken dolls.

Everyone turned.

It was Maan.

He shouted toward Siya,

"Sister, I can't just hide anymore. I'm not a child."

Siya smiled with pride.

"Well done, my lion."

Together, we began slaughtering the Screevers one by one.

The moment was near—their leader was about to face Siya.

But before that could happen, Ali stepped in front of him.

A strange smile appeared on the leader's face.

Siya noticed it.

Something felt wrong.

Just as Ali lunged forward to attack, the leader made his move—preparing a deadly strike from behind—

Siya's scream tore through the air.

And everything froze…
