Chapter 27 - Arc 3.1 Lily Walker

Chapter 3.1 Lily Walker

"My head... it hurts!"

Clear groaned, pressing her palm against her temple as a dull ache throbbed through her skull. Slowly, her blurred vision began to sharpen, the world around her coming into focus.

But the sight that greeted her made her freeze. Her eyes widened, disbelief flashing across her face before it twisted into outrage.

"What the—?!" She hissed, and then the curses spilled out.

She swore at the System's ancestors, its descendants, and every generation in between, her voice sharp and relentless. The words tumbled out like a storm, each one fueled by the shock of what she was seeing.

Whatever the System had done this time, it had gone too far.

'Is this a rape scene? How the heck did the original owner of this body end up in this state?!' Raven thought as she cursed.

"Oh, I thought you had already fainted. That's no fun at all when playing this game—I don't want a fish in bed."

The ugly man sneered, his eyes crawling over Clear with a lecherous glint.

"Hahaha... why so quiet now? Come on, scream! Scream just like you did before!" The fat man beside him jeered, his laughter echoing harshly in the narrow alley.

Clear found herself cornered by three men, their shadows looming over her in the dim light. The alley was silent except for their mocking voices, no footsteps, no passersby, no chance of help. Night pressed in around her, heavy and suffocating.

Her mind raced.

She had no idea what had happened to the original owner of this body, or why she had been dropped into such a dire state. But one thing was certain, if she didn't act fast, she wouldn't last long.

Suddenly, Clear's head throbbed as a rush of unfamiliar memories invaded her mind. The original owner's name was Lily Walker, the younger sister of Lance Walker.

Lily had been a happy child until tragedy struck—their parents died in a car accident. After that, Lance took responsibility for both his sister and the family business their parents left behind. But as the years passed, the siblings slowly drifted apart. They were no longer as close as before, though Lance still cared for Lily in his own way and continued to provide for her.

At the age of twenty-three, Lance suffered an accident that left him disabled. From then on, he grew cold and distant, shutting himself off from those around him—even from Lily. He couldn't accept what had happened to him, yet life had to go on. He continued managing his affairs as best as he could, but his sorrow only deepened the rift between them.

With her brother consumed by grief, Lily was left to seek comfort and love elsewhere.

That was when Jonathan Lee entered her life. He gave her the affection she longed for, lifting her to the heavens—only to later drag her into hell. A misunderstanding between them drove Lily away, and in her heartbreak, she drove home alone, never expecting to cross paths with the people who would bring about her ruin

"Shit..." Lily cursed as she held her head.

"Look, man, this chick's oozing hot. What are you all waiting for?"

The afro-haired thug sneered as he stepped closer to Lily.

"Hehehe... then don't mind if I help myself first." The fat one added with a creepy laugh.

"These bastards..."

Lily grit her teeth, forcing herself to stand despite the pounding in her head. Her eyes narrowed, sharp and feral, as she glared at the three men closing in.

"I like cats, you know."

The afro-haired man taunted, licking his lips.

"They're wilder when cornered."

"I bet you also like getting beaten, don't you?"

Lily shot back with a cold smile, her gaze burning with lethal promise. To her, they already looked like dead men walking.

"I like your mouth, woman. But let's see where I'll put that after I'm done with you!" The fat guy lewdly looked at her.

"Let's see if you have the ability then!"

In a flash, Lily drew her sword and dashed forward. Her speed was so great that, in the blink of an eye, the three figures were already sprawled lifeless on the ground.

"Weak."

Lily's voice was cold as she glanced at the corpses without a shred of guilt. With a flick of her hand, flames consumed them until nothing but ashes remained—no trace of their filthy existence left behind.

"I should head home now. My clothes are a mess." Lily muttered, cursing under her breath as she tugged at her ripped dress and ran her fingers through her tangled hair.

"Oh, right... what about the story plot? Where art thou, my System?"

As if summoned by her words, the story plot screen shimmered into existence before her eyes.

[Story Title: My CEO Love Me Forever

World Grade: C

Story Details: Jade Simpleton was just a simple girl, true to her name. All she ever wanted in life was peace and a happy family. But those dreams shattered the moment she met Jonathan Lee—the prince charming every girl adored, the man who could sweep anyone off their feet... except her.

For the first time, Jonathan met someone untouched by his charms, and it sparked his curiosity. The more he learned about Jade, the more intrigued he became—especially when he realized she wanted nothing to do with men like him and only longed for a quiet, peaceful life. That challenge lit a fire in him, and he chased her to the ends of the world.

In time, as the two grew closer, Jade's heart softened. After much persistence and persuasion, she finally said yes. They married, and together they built a life filled with love—one that lasted until their hair turned white.

Hidden Plot: The story is not so full of drama, but the side characters just had a bad end as the two leads chased each other like dogs in heat. The second female lead, Lily, was one of the victims of this chasing game. When Jonathan's interest was piqued by Jade, Lily happened to be his girlfriend at that time. Realizing her boyfriend was so interested in another girl, she sulked and walked out the door—unaware that the moment she left, plot-sama immediately pulled the FL to the ML so they could meet.

When they met, their interest in each other only deepened, while Lily, on the other hand, fell straight into Hell's hole. LOL!]

"What's happening to the Hidden Plot? Why does it sound like my lazy System?" Lily's mouth twitched as she read through it.

She stepped out of her car and walked toward the big mansion. Rows of butlers and maids lined up to greet her as she returned.

"Miss Lily, what happened to you?"

An old butler in uniform looked her over from head to toe, worry clear in his eyes.

"I'm fine, Sebastian. Just a little 'accident' on the way, don't worry. I'll be going up to sleep now. Goodbye, Sebastian."

Lily quickly headed up the stairs, not waiting for his reply.

Once she reached her room, Lily let out a long sigh of relief and collapsed onto the soft bed. Her gaze drifted to the ceiling as her thoughts circled back to the story plot, pulling her into deep reflection

She thought about how easy this world was, with no real "enemies" to deal with. The original owner had been the foolish one, practically serving herself on a silver platter to plot-sama. Why did she even go sulking and making things worse?

The ML wouldn't have left her if only she had stayed with him that day. It's all her fault he walked away.

The truth was, the ML had truly loved her.

His interest in the FL was only a fleeting moment. If only she hadn't stormed out of that restaurant, the turning point of their lives, she might have saved their relationship, and none of that tragedy would have happened.

'Since the original owner didn't ask me to get revenge on that girl, and the FL isn't doing anything to me, then I'll just treat this world as a vacation. I'll relax here with my hubby. Unnecessary fighting is too troublesome. Let them fight among themselves while I enjoy my peace.'

Lily smiled, her resolve firm, and prepared herself for the next challenge from the System.

"Game start."

"What, you're breaking up with me? Why?" Jonathan stared at Lily, who was trying hard to hold back her tears.

"I know you don't love me anymore. It's okay, I'm fine. I just want you to be happy, that's why I'm doing this. I don't want to selfishly keep you when you already have someone else in your heart."

Lily looked at Jonathan with an understanding expression as crocodile tears slid down her cheeks.

She didn't really want to cry or act like this, but if she slapped him and broke up with him sassily, it might cause unnecessary trouble—like him getting interested in her again.

She knew exactly what kind of "thing" this ML was, so she had to take precautionary measures to avoid shooting herself in the foot later.

"Lily..." Jonathan's voice softened.

"That's why I'm letting you go. Goodbye, Jonathan. Be happy with her."

Lily stood up from her seat and walked out of the restaurant's door without looking back.

Jonathan looked at Lily with pity but didn't chase after her. He knew he was being a jerk for having someone else in his heart. Maybe this was the best choice, to let her go so he wouldn't hurt her anymore.

The moment Lily stepped out the door, she quickly wiped away her tears. A smirk tugged at her lips as she slipped on her shades. Without hesitation, she headed straight to her car and drove back home.

"That's one down, two to go."

"Sebastian, do you know where big brother is?" Lily asked as she took a sip of her tea during lunch.

The butler froze for a moment before answering, his eyes turning a little moist as if he was about to cry.

"Master Lance is on a business trip. He will be back next week. Is there something you would like me to relay to him, Miss Lily?" Sebastian asked gently.

"It's nothing, I was just casually asking about his whereabouts. Tell me, Sebastian... does my brother hate me? He's been avoiding me ever since the accident. I just... I miss those times when we were young."

Lily sighed, her gaze falling to her cup of tea where her reflection rippled faintly on the surface.

"Miss Lily, why would you say that?! Master Lance does not hate you. In fact, he cares for you very much. He's not avoiding you, it's just that he's still a little sad about what happened. But don't worry, Master Lance can still be cured, and he will return to how he used to be." Sebastian explained earnestly.

"Really? Brother doesn't hate me?" Lily asked, her eyes full of hope as she looked at Sebastian.

"Yes, I'm sure of it. Master Lance loves Miss Lily very much. How could he ever hate you?"

Sebastian assured gently.

"Is that so?"

Lily lowered her gaze shyly, her cheeks tinted pink. She was truly happy to know her brother didn't hate her after all.

Unbeknownst to the two inside, a man in a wheelchair was silently eavesdropping.

His ruby-red eyes lingered on Lily, filled with an unreadable emotion. He had been listening ever since he first entered through the door.

At first, he was only curious about what his little sister wanted to ask about him, so he chose to remain hidden. But he hadn't expected to hear her bare her heart so openly.

He never knew that Lily thought he hated her because he had been avoiding her. In truth, he was only afraid—afraid to show himself, afraid she would look at him coldly for all the years he had been gone, unable to care for her.

What he feared most was that his sister would no longer look at him the way she used to, before everything happened.

But in clinging to all these "ifs," he had forgotten the most important thing: his sister would still accept him, no matter how much he had changed.

Silently, he wheeled his chair out of the mansion and into his car. He instructed his driver to take him to one of his hotels, where he settled for the night.

'Lily... how I made you suffer.'
