Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Two black figures were seen running across the rooftops of high-rise buildings, evading the ninjas who were chasing them. Although ninja clans are rarely seen nowadays, the truth is that they still exist because they hide and do not expose themselves to the outside world.

The two figures, with their slim builds, looked like tough girls. Their faces were covered with hoods, leaving only a pair of slanted eyes that still radiated beauty. With swords sheathed on their backs, they ran fast, jumping from one building to another to avoid their pursuers.

When they found a hidden room, they immediately crouched down and hid to catch their breath and calm their minds. This incident was completely unexpected. Zena felt that the plan she had devised was very thorough and should not have failed if no one had leaked it. However, in reality, one of their members had become an enemy spy. Now, while hiding, Zena had to think of another plan to save them because they were surrounded.

The two girls were named Zena and Zeslin. They were twenty-year-old twins and were very beautiful. Zena, who was in charge of planning, felt very guilty because her failure had dragged her sister into a dangerous situation.

"Zeslin, when you get the chance, leave this place quickly. I'll hold them off so you can escape," Zena said firmly, staring intently at her sister, clearly not wanting to be argued with.

Zena did not want Zeslin to be killed tonight. Their chances of survival were very slim, especially since all of this happened because of her mistake of not preparing a backup plan. Zeslin knew very well that her sister was overcome with guilt. Zena was trying to protect her because Zeslin was the only hope for continuing their clan.

They were the last descendants of the Yamikage ninja clan. When they were children, they managed to escape when their clan was massacred. Since then, they had been hiding in a neighboring country until they were able to stand on their own two feet. Zena and Zeslin then recruited new members and rebuilt the Yamikage ninja clan so that it would not become extinct.

Both of them were geniuses. They easily learned the ninja skills book that their parents had passed down to them before the massacre. The book was passed down from generation to generation to the heirs of the clan. Zena and Zeslin's parents seemed to have had a bad premonition, so they gave them the ninja skills book and a set of jewelry consisting of a necklace and ring ahead of time.

Zena wore a green emerald diamond necklace, while Zeslin wore a green emerald diamond ring. Their parents told them to never take off the jewelry because it would save them at the last second of their lives and make sure they would never be separated in their next lives.

"No, sis. Let's face them together. If we don't make it through tonight, I won't blame you. All this time, we've only lived together, and I don't want to live alone. Wherever you go, Zena, I'll follow," Zeslin argued firmly.

All the members of their clan had fallen. Now only the two of them remained. They tried to sneak away and survive with all their might, but the overwhelming number of enemies frustrated Zena.

"You fool! If something happens to me, you must save yourself. You must carry on our clan!" Zena shouted as she swung her sword to block the secret star-shaped weapon that shot towards them.

Ting!

Clang!

Two flashes of the sword successfully blocked the attack. However, the attacks continued relentlessly until they were finally cornered at the edge of the building's roof. Below, vehicles passed by, and the height separating them from the street looked terrifying. Their bodies were covered in wounds, and their strength was almost gone.

"You guys are really something. So far, we still haven't been able to kill you. But your luck has run out. There's no other way but to surrender to our boss," said a man named Alto.

"Dream on! Tell Takayama we'll never surrender," Zena replied loudly. "And enjoy the gift we sent you."

"I think your boss is now facing the God of Death," Zena continued, glancing at her watch and smiling slightly. That expression made Alto feel uncomfortable.

"What do you mean?" Alto snapped angrily.

"Ha... ha... ha... Sis, he looks funny," Zeslin chuckled. Zena held her sister's hand tightly, preparing for the end.

"Sis, it looks like we have to fight to the last drop of blood. It's better to die fighting than to be their prisoners," whispered Zena.

"Yes, sis. Thank you for protecting me. I hope we'll still be together in our next life," said Zeslin with a smile, hugging her sister tightly.

Alto, feeling ignored, shouted angrily, demanding an explanation. Zena stared at him coldly.

"We sent a powerful bomb to the Takayama mansion. Now it's all over," said Zena with satisfaction.

Alto was shocked and immediately attacked. A fierce battle ensued. Zena managed to throw a poisonous needle that hit Alto's neck, but Alto's sword pierced Zena's chest first. Both of them were seriously injured, until finally Alto died from the poison.

Zeslin also managed to kill several enemies, but his back was severely injured. He ran towards Zena, who was standing on the edge of the building with a sword still stuck in her chest.

"Sis, hang in there!" shouted Zeslin.

When an enemy attacked from behind, Zena blocked the attack with her remaining strength. However, the force of the blow caused her to fall from the roof of the building. Zeslin tried to grab her sister's hand, but she was not strong enough to hold Zena's weight. Both of them fell together.

The necklace worn by Zena and the ring belonging to Zeslin suddenly emitted a bright green light that enveloped their bodies. The light saved their souls and then slowly disappeared.

On the street, the bodies of Zena and Zeslin lay lifeless after falling from a great height, while their souls had departed toward a new destiny that would never separate them.
