CHAPTER 3.
ELIAN POV
I heard the sound of foot steps behind me the pack guards chased me faster as though their life depended on it I knew the they were tracking my scent , after running for few minutes I lost breath I could hear the howling of wolfs and I dared to look back , pairs of glowing eyes were fixed on my every movement. I ran harder the ground shaking , my feet quivered and I felt a sharp pain under my foot , I had stepped on something , I couldn't run any further now, But then I spotted a pool of mud, I hurriedly dropped my bag and jumped into the mud, taking a deep breath as I sank into it I felt the heavy footstep approach and halt as if there were hovering above the mud, running back , risking it I toke a peep bring my head out they were gone , I stood up and left holding my leg my bag was still there the way I had left it ,I turned leave But the whimpering of wolves could be heard and and next silence before more howling .....no they weren't the howling of normal wolves , like crackling ... it seemed to be crazed , stopping and turning around her eyes met with six pairs of red eyes were staring at me ..... Rouges .
Knowing what would happen if they catch me I bolted with all my strength , but they were quick I saw the border just as I was about to step through ,"ARGHHH" one of the rogues bit my hand dragging me back.I fell back looking at the creatures in front of me I was now at the mercy of the rogues .
One of the rouges stepped forward and came towards me like a predator , I picked up broken branch for protection which seemed like I picked up their anger , they pounced on me all at once , one bit off my lethal protection from me and one bit my thigh feeling the blood wet my clothes and a certain amount of flesh, the excruciating pain was so unbearable , the hate I had for the beta everything I planned faded away leaving me dizzy and I slowly lost conscious .....
