Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A humble beginning

Two years after Rumi Usagiyama's arrival on Earth, inside an orphanage in Brooklyn, a dark-haired girl with white hair, crimson eyes, and above all, fluffy rabbit ears could be seen. That's right, the 'MC' of this story had grown up and was now playing with a ball in a corner of the orphanage's playground. The MC began to remember his entire life up to this point.

'First, after the Mother Superior found me at the door, all the nuns were terrified and wanted to throw me out because of my ears. They recognized me as a mutant, a being who came from the depths of hell, evil incarnate in a baby. Although the Mother Superior ignored them and gave me refuge, treating me like her own daughter, I also had to adapt to my new life and my new body. The first few days I was overcome with regret and helplessness. I knew why God made me a woman, but it only made my sadness stronger. After months, I accepted it and said goodbye to my weapon, which I never used. I realized my body was stronger than normal, but not so much that anyone other than myself would notice. My senses and survival instinct are stronger, and I have a perfect memory; I haven't forgotten anything I've seen so far. Aside from that, I'm basically the same as any other child my age, apart from my ears and my rabbit tail. During these two years, I studied and 'I trained as best I could without hurting my body. It seems the existence of mutants is known, because the nuns are afraid of me, and the children tease me for being different. Besides that, I discovered the era I'm in. It seems I arrived in 1992, but that doesn't matter. Right now I'm just playing around. Later I'll continue with my training,' Rumi reflected before she sensed danger and dodged a stone coming towards her at considerable speed.

"You damn monster, why did you dodge it? Can't you just die already?!" yelled a fat, pimply seven-year-old boy. Rumi just glared at the ugly kid with disgust. His name was Tom, and he was clearly very envious of the special treatment Mother Superior gave Rumi. So, when he heard that mutants were demons, he took advantage of that to harass her and try to kill her. No one stopped him except Mother Superior, but in his attempt to torment Rumi, he helped her develop her Observation Haki. From then on, she trained him with his unwitting help, and even though he's a son of a bitch, she's still grateful for it.

"Don't you have anything better to do than bother others?" I asked with doubt and curiosity, hoping that he at least had a reason for his horrible behavior. The boy just stuck his tongue out at me while throwing another stone with his slingshot.

"You're a monster, what other reason do I need?" he said with an arrogant and disgusting smile. Rumi just rolled her eyes and decided this wasn't worth it, and left while the boy followed her shouting. After entering the orphanage, she was greeted by one of the nuns who hated her.

"You can't keep doing this, demon, one day we'll vote you out," the nun said with undisguised disgust at being forced to live next to a mutant. Rumi just sighed and continued on her way while thinking about all the things she would have to do.

Rumi was training barefoot and in slightly worn clothes when her instincts told her that someone was watching her. She jumped and kicked the tree where the intruder was hiding. Then a little girl of the same age came out and screamed in fright.

"What do you want from me?" Rumi demanded with doubt and intrigue, not knowing where this girl had come from.

"I was just curious," she said, a little scared, because when she looked at the tree Rumi kicked, it had a footprint on it. She was fascinated; she had never seen a being with super strength, and besides, she was very cute and adorable.

"Be careful how much curiosity you have, it could cause you problems," Rumi warned, because she knew that in the Marvel world most curious people end up dead or turned into villains. 1

"Sorry to bother you, I just wanted to see you. I heard there was a rabbit girl and I like rabbits, so I felt like meeting you," the girl said shyly. She had white skin, brown hair, and black eyes. She was a beautiful girl. Rumi felt a little shy because it had been a long time since she had spoken to anyone other than the Mother Superior.

"Well then, what's your name?" Rumi asked in a sweet and shy voice. The little girl, seeing this, just smiled with joy and thought how cute the rabbit girl looked at that moment. 1

"My name is Margot, it's a pleasure to meet you, I hope we get along well..." she said enthusiastically, hoping her new friend would tell her her name.

"Rumi Usagiyama, nice to meet you. I recommend you don't stalk me; I might accidentally hurt you," she said wearily as she sat down on a log in the yard and drank water from her bottle. Margot blushed a little at the first impression she made, but she recovered quickly and decided to get to know her new friend better.

"How are you so strong? You jumped really high and your kick left a mark on the tree!!" she asked in amazement, because she had never seen anyone do that. She thought it might be because he seemed to train all the time.

"That's why I have the skills of a rabbit, and I train," said Rumi, a little amused by the cute expressions the girl made without realizing it. The girl, as if listening to Rumi's thoughts, just made another funny face.

"Wow, that's incredible! No wonder you're so strong. Can you hear from so far away too? And do you have a sense of smell like one? Do you like carrots too?" said the hyperactive girl. Rumi froze as the girl spoke excitedly and touched her ears and tail. Only after a few minutes did she react and move away from her.

"Where are you touching?! Don't touch someone's tail, it can cause you problems," he said with embarrassment and a little joy because although it didn't seem like it, it still affects him that most people he knows are afraid of him and call him a monster.

Margot, who was fondling Rumi, woke up from her trance and let go of her tail while covering her face in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, I get too excited, it's just that I like rabbits and it's the first time I've seen someone like you," she apologized with a little embarrassment and shame. Rumi just shook her head and thought that this girl was funny and very impulsive.

"No problem, just remember not to do this when you meet someone for the first time, you might leave them with a slightly strange impression of you," I advised, a little worried about the girl, as she seemed very impulsive and that could get her into trouble.

"I'm really sorry, I guess I need to control myself more," Margot said with a bit of pity and understanding as she realized the first impression she made on Rumi, who just shook her head and smiled at the spectacle that this girl was.

"It's okay, you don't have to worry too much, just relax and don't do the same to someone else," Rumi advised while patting her on the head.

"Okay, thanks for understanding. Are you a mutant? I've never seen one before. Where are you from?" I asked, curious and fascinated by the friend I had made.

"If I am one of the mutants, although I don't know where I'm from, I've been in this orphanage since birth," Rumi lied, because she didn't want to tell Margot that she had reincarnated. Margot, upon hearing this, felt sorry for her because at least she knew who her parents were.

"And you, Margot? Where are you from? I haven't seen you until now, and I'm sure I would remember you if I had seen you before," the MC asked somewhat doubtfully, as she thought she already knew the story.

Upon hearing that question, Margot became a little saddened. "I lost my parents in an accident and was brought here recently," she said with some bitterness, trying to appear strong. Rumi, seeing that it was a sensitive topic, decided to change the subject.

"You don't have to tell anyone, let's play ball," he said enthusiastically, because since he was reincarnated he hadn't played games with anyone or anything.

"Yes! Okay, let's play," Margot said happily, having a friend at last, and while they were both playing, one person was watching and watching, waiting to make a move.

"I found a mutant, sir. He's just a kid, but he might be useful," a stranger reported via radio, awaiting instructions.

"Not yet, keep an eye on her, I don't want her to escape, you have two years to bring her back one way or another," he informed his superior harshly, he just nodded.

"Hail hydra," were the last words he said before cutting the signal; he had a lot to do.

Rumi could be seen in the lotus position in the orphanage courtyard meditating. A group of children stealthily surrounded her, preparing their stones and sharp objects. Rumi sensed their presence from a distance and was ready. The first child threw a stone at her, and she only had to lower her head slightly to dodge it. When the children realized they had been discovered, they all threw stones at the same time so that she would get hit.

"Don't dodge, demon, you should just die!!" Tom shouted furiously, although Rumi didn't seem to care at all and just casually dodged all the projectiles. The children, now without anything to throw, escaped because they didn't want Rumi to hit them, all except one.

"D-don't come near me, demon, I'll tell the nuns to punish you-!!" was all he could say before he was kicked in the face and some of his teeth were knocked out. Rumi was annoyed and tired of this little idiot, so she hit him. Just then, the Mother Superior arrived.

"Rumi, I know you were attacked, but violence is not the answer," she said while calming the girl she considered her daughter.

"I'm tired of their attacks. They hate and fear me for no reason. I'm just defending myself," Rumi complains. She was already tired of these wasted spaces. It had been five years since she reincarnated, and she was frustrated. She believed that arriving in the Marvel world would make everything better, but so far she'd been living in the orphanage because no one liked the mutant. The children, the nuns, and everyone she knew either feared her or hated her with all their souls. The only exceptions were Mother Superior and Margot. Even though they tried to comfort her, it wasn't enough, and she was getting tired of it. She knew it, Mother Superior knew it, and even Margot knew it.

"You need to relax. I know many fear you for who you are, but don't let that affect you. You are beautiful, you are strong, you are gentle and brave. You are the daughter I could never have. You just need to find happiness in the little things you have," she advised Rumi in a sweet and wise voice. Rumi understood that life wouldn't be a fairy tale, but this was tiring her. Even so, she knew that continuing to hit those children wouldn't fix anything, and she didn't want to worry the Mother Superior any more.

"Okay, I'm not promising to change overnight and stop hitting those jerks who bother me, but I'll try not to be violent," Rumi said, which pleased the Mother Superior.

"That's all you need in life, patience," the Mother Superior said lovingly. Rumi just thought about how much he had changed since being reincarnated.

When he was a man living on Earth, he was introverted. His parents fought a lot, which led him to seek a place where he felt comfortable, and he found comic books. Each one was a different world, with different heroes, but the ones he loved most were Superman comics. When he was trapped in nothingness, he suffered and cried with helplessness, wishing he could be that invincible and perfect being. That's why when he was told he would have five wishes, he was happy, only to have his dreams denied and be reincarnated instead in the body of his waifu. He wasn't bothered by this since anything was better than nothingness, but even so, when he was left to his fate in an orphanage in the city that hated mutants, he undoubtedly became bitter. He thought that this god only wanted him for entertainment, and he accepted it. He had neither the power nor the knowledge to change this fact for now, but one day he would break free from the threads that bound him. When everyone he knew feared and hated her, she remained He was no longer the same teenager addicted to comics and manga; he was able to survive the void and his will was tempered, otherwise he would have gone crazy millennia ago.

After reflecting and meditating, she thought that perhaps she should relax, not train to exhaustion and enjoy childhood. She made up her mind, and with a smile thought that she should look for Margot to play.

"I'm going to play with Margot, take care, Mom," said a relaxed, carefree Rumi, who, tired of running as if her life depended on it, left to play.

"You take care of yourself too, my child," said the Mother Superior as she wished things would get better for Rumi. She was a kind and gentle girl beneath that stubborn and rebellious attitude. She was more than just a mutant; she was her daughter, and she hoped more people would realize that.

° 1 year later °

"Today's the day. I want all units near the perimeter. That mutant has to be captured today, no matter what," commanded an unknown man with authority and firmness. Today was the day he would catch that mutant. He had already prepared all his traps and secured all possible escape routes. He cut all the networks, and neither SHILD nor the X-Men would have a clue as to where the mutant disappeared. Not even he knew where they would take him after his capture—perhaps to a laboratory. He had super strength; maybe they would complete that super-soldier project.

"Sir, everything is in order, we are ready to proceed," the Hydra soldier informed his superior. He was nervous because today they were going to kidnap a mutant and the X-Men or worse, 'the Brotherhood', might appear.

"Alright, it's time to do this, I hope you enjoyed your mutant life, hail Hydra!!" shouted the Hydra commander.

"Hail Hydra!!" shouted all the soldiers. Today would be a dark night for the mutant, thought all the Hydra agents.
