The door wasn't locked.
Cecilia Adler waited for the others to leave before getting up to wash her face. As she was applying face cream, she heard someone outside calling for his wife.
She opened the door to take a look.
It was Ian Quincy.
A smile lit up Cecilia Adler's face as she called out sweetly, "Ian, what brings you here? Hurry, come inside."
Ian Quincy lowered his voice. "It's about the stamp."
"Did you trade it for money?" Cecilia Adler's eyes were filled with anticipation as she waited for his reply.
Ian Quincy said, "How could I possibly trade it without your permission?"
Cecilia Adler's heart stirred. 'It feels so good to be respected.' She was eager to know the stamp's value. "How much is that one worth?"
"Ten yuan."
Cecilia Adler covered her mouth in shock. Ten yuan? She had over a hundred of them. Wouldn't that be worth a fortune?
'I've struck it rich.'
With this money, she could pursue her business ventures as much as she wanted.
