Quentin Grant let out a chuckle. "You've got some nerve, daring to curse me now."

"Are you that lonely, pathetic, and desperate? You don't even have anyone to talk to. One hour, max. I'm going home," she said stiffly.

"How is one hour enough? Will you be satisfied?"

Nora Ainsworth felt like taking a hammer and beating this treacherous man to death. He was the one who had threatened and bribed her to come here, yet he was twisting it around to blame her. He was absolutely shameless!

She instinctively retorted, "Isn't one hour enough for you to talk? Isn't keeping you company for an hour enough? Just how pathetic are you? All alone all day, with no one to even pay you any mind."

The moment the words left her mouth, she regretted them. Quentin Grant's expression turned dangerous, sending a shiver down her spine.

"No one pays me any mind?"

Nora Ainsworth gave a hollow laugh. "Don't get me wrong, I wasn't talking about you."
