Laura Lowell's mind was a complete mess. She was so tense she didn't even notice Aiden Shaw standing right behind her.
She carried a small pot, filled it with some purified water, then placed it on the gas stove and turned on the flame.
"Aiden Shaw... why do you always flirt with me? If this keeps up, I won't be able to stop myself from falling for you."
Laura Lowell mumbled to herself.
"No need to stop yourself. If you want to fall for me, then go right ahead."
The man's crisp, cool voice filled the air. Laura Lowell spun around and froze solid.
The next second, she ducked her head so low her chin nearly touched her collarbones.
Aiden Shaw stepped closer, and Laura Lowell instinctively backed away. He advanced, she retreated... After this repeated several times, Laura was trapped in a corner with nowhere to run.
Aiden Shaw planted his arms on the wall on either side of her, boxing her in. His voice, gentle as a breeze, whispered into her ear, "Your mouth isn't very honest."
