Chapter 35 - Name

Makoto looked at the first white fox in front of him, which was crying toward a second white fox that had just emerged from the bushes. The second white fox then slowly walked toward Makoto.

"Mio, can you make two more portions for them?" Makoto said while stroking the first white fox, which seemed to enjoy having its head patted.

"Understood, Waka-sama," Mio replied before heading back into the minivan.

"Waka-sama, they seem to still be children," Shiki said.

"They're probably starving and left their nest to look for food," Tomoe added.

"Nueria, scan the surrounding area. Are there any other white foxes nearby besides the ones in front of me?" Makoto asked in his mind.

[Understood]

[Report: No white fox monsters detected in this area.]

"It seems their parents were killed by another monster. I don't detect any other white foxes besides them," Makoto said.

Not long after, Mio returned carrying two lunch portions. By the way, today's lunch was megalodon hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. Mio placed the food in front of the two foxes, but they only stared at it without eating.

"It's okay, you can eat it," Makoto said.

After hearing Makoto's words, the two white foxes immediately began eating the food in front of them. Makoto, Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki then continued their lunch peacefully. After Makoto finished eating, he noticed that the two white foxes had lain down not far from him.

Makoto walked closer to them. The two white foxes sensed his approach and looked toward him. When Makoto reached them, he sat down in front of them and gently stroked their heads.

"Do you want to come with me?" Makoto asked.

The two foxes looked at each other after hearing his words. It seemed they had made a decision. They then stood up and bowed their heads toward Makoto—a sign that they acknowledged him as their master.

Makoto smiled. "Since you've become my followers, I'll give you names," he said.

The two foxes became happy and ran around Makoto. After that, they sat in front of him and looked at him eagerly.

"Alright. From now on, your names are Koyuki and Hakuren."

After Makoto gave them their names, their bodies were enveloped in a rainbow-colored light. When the light disappeared, both foxes had fallen asleep on the ground.

Seeing this, Makoto was slightly confused. "Nueria, what's happening to them? I heard that monsters who receive names don't need to fall asleep," he asked in his mind.

[Answer: Individual Koyuki and individual Hakuren are evolving. Because the magical energy they received is extremely pure, they began evolving immediately after receiving their names.]

"In that case, can I name Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki as well?" Makoto asked in his mind.

[Answer: Yes. Names can be changed or reused.]

After hearing Nueria's response, Makoto began thinking about giving Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki names in this world.

"Waka, what's going on? Why are the two white foxes unconscious?" Tomoe asked as she approached Makoto.

"They're evolving after I gave them names," Makoto replied.

"Have you finished cleaning up the table and chairs?" Makoto asked.

"Shiki already took care of it, Waka," Tomoe said.

"In that case, let's go inside the minivan. There's something I want to tell you," Makoto said while carrying the two small foxes in his arms and walking toward the minivan with Tomoe.

After entering the minivan, Makoto called Mio and Shiki. He placed the two white foxes on the sofa and sat beside them. Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki sat facing him.

"Waka-sama, what do you want to tell us?" Mio asked, slightly confused.

"Waka-sama, is there another plan we're going to carry out?" Shiki asked.

Tomoe didn't ask anything. She simply sat quietly and looked at Makoto.

After looking at the three of them, Makoto spoke. "Tomoe, Mio, Shiki, I want to give you names using this world's system."

"Give us names?" Mio asked.

"Waka, do you want to make us stronger?" Tomoe asked.

"Yes, Tomoe. By using this world's system, I can rename you and transfer my magical energy to you," Makoto said.

"But why all of a sudden, Waka-sama?" Shiki asked.

"Look at those two. After I named them, they immediately started evolving," Makoto said, pointing at the two white foxes beside him.

"Waka, do you want to try naming us to see if we can evolve as well?" Tomoe asked.

"Yes. Because my magical energy is extremely pure, the two white foxes evolved right after I named them. I'm curious if I can make you evolve too. I also want to give you my family name, Misumi. So, are you willing to accept my name?" Makoto asked.

Hearing that they would receive Makoto's family name, Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki became extremely happy.

"We're willing, Waka / Waka-sama!" they said in unison.

"Then from now on, your names are Misumi Tomoe, Misumi Mio, and Misumi Shiki."

After Makoto gave them their names, they were enveloped in a dazzling rainbow-colored light. When the light disappeared, Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki had lost consciousness. Makoto then carried them to their respective rooms.

"Now I'm all alone. What should I do now?" Makoto muttered after sitting back down on the sofa.

"Hm… how about creating a training area? Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki will definitely want to test their strength after evolving," he said.

"And those two also need their own spaces," Makoto added while stroking the heads of the two white foxes beside him.

"Alright, let's remodel this place a bit," Makoto said as he closed his eyes.

[Nueria, open all minivan access] he commanded in his mind.

A 3D design of the minivan appeared within Makoto's consciousness, complete with the dimensional layout inside it. With Nueria's help, Makoto could easily modify the minivan's dimensional space.

"Nueria, create a sub-dimension for combat training. Divide it into five regions, each with an area of 1,000 square kilometers: forest, mountains, grasslands, desert, and archipelago," Makoto said.

[Understood. Using Ultimate Skill: Creation to create and divide the sub-dimension. Successful.]

"Set all damage to automatically revert to its previous state."

[Understood. Using Ultimate Skill: Rule to modify the sub-dimension rules. Successful.]

"Nueria, create two additional bedrooms identical to the previous ones."

[Understood. Bedrooms created successfully.]

"Expand the main space to twice its size."

[Understood. Using Ultimate Skill: Rule to expand the main space. Successful.]

"Now connect all newly created spaces to the main area."

[Understood. Using Ultimate Skill: Rule to connect the rooms. Successful.]

"Hm, I think this is enough for now," Makoto said while looking at the design.

"Something feels missing… ah, right. What's the point of a training area without a way to watch it?"

"Nueria, create a monitor in front of the sofa that can display the training area and also show the surroundings outside the minivan."

[Understood. Monitor successfully created.]

"With this, everything is complete," Makoto said. "Thank you for your help, Nueria. You really saved me."

[That is my duty, Master.]

Makoto opened his eyes and saw that the room was now much larger than before. He also noticed a fairly large monitor in front of him displaying the area around the minivan—dark hills illuminated by the night.

"Time really flies when you're focused on something," Makoto said. Since it was already night, he decided to go to bed early.

In the morning, Makoto woke up feeling refreshed. After getting ready, he left his room.

"Good morning, Waka-sama," Shiki said.

"Good morning, Shiki," Makoto replied.

"Waka, you startled me. When I came out of my room, the main space was suddenly much bigger," Tomoe said.

"Good morning, Waka-sama," Mio said while carrying breakfast.

"Good morning, Waka-sama," said two children who were helping Mio carry the food.

The two children had similar faces, probably because they were still young. One was a boy and the other a girl. Both had white hair and white tails and appeared to be around seven or eight years old. The most noticeable difference was their hair length—the boy had short hair, while the girl had long hair.

"Good morning, Mio. Good morning to you too, Koyuki and Hakuren," Makoto said.

"Breakfast is ready. Let's eat first," Makoto told them.

After breakfast, they gathered on the sofa.

"So, what changes happened after you evolved?" Makoto asked.

"In that case, I'll explain first, Waka," Tomoe said.

"After evolving, I became a Divine Dragon. I can now return to my dragon form. My current self is ten times stronger than before, and when I transform into my dragon form, I become ten times stronger than my current strength. I also gained a blessing called 'Blessing of the Creator God,' which reduces aura pressure directed at me by 80%. I can also use the rules of water and space now."

"Next is me," Mio said.

"Waka-sama, after evolving, I became a Divine Spider. Like Tomoe-san, I can return to my spider form. I'm ten times stronger than before, and when using my spider form, I become ten times stronger than my current strength. I gained the 'Blessing of the God of Destruction,' which increases my power when I receive aura pressure—the stronger the aura, the stronger I become. I can also use the rules of darkness and time."

"Waka-sama, after evolving, I became a Divine Spirit. I can also return to my lich form. I'm ten times stronger than before, and in lich form I become ten times stronger than my current strength. My blessing is the 'Blessing of the God of Magic,' which makes my magic usage more efficient. I can now use the rules of earth and time," Shiki said.

"Me next, Waka-sama!" Koyuki said cheerfully.

"Alright, go ahead, Koyuki," Makoto said with a smile.

"Okay! After evolving, I became a Nine-Tailed Divine White Fox. I'm still weaker than Tomoe-sama, Mio-sama, and Shiki-sama, but I'll train hard to become stronger! I can transform into a white fox form. Since I'm still weak, I only have one tail right now—the stronger I become, the more tails I'll gain. I also received the 'Blessing of the God of Nature,' which gives me great vitality, and I can use the rules of wind and space."

"I-I…" Hakuren said nervously as everyone looked at him.

"Hakuren, calm down. Don't be nervous," Makoto said gently.

Hakuren took a deep breath and exhaled.

"I'm sorry, Waka-sama. I get nervous when many people look at me. Like Koyuki, I became a Nine-Tailed Divine White Fox after evolving. I can also transform into a white fox form, and I currently only have one tail as well. The blessing I received is also the 'Blessing of the God of Nature,' which grants great vitality. I can use the rules of wind and time."
