Chapter 242 - Dance of the Shikigami Unleashed!

"No way!" Konan hadn't even spoken yet when Minato immediately interrupted, "Your abilities are way too broken!"

Yuki Seisui glanced at Minato, then looked back at Konan and said, "This time, I'll only use ninjutsu and taijutsu—no sage techniques."

Konan cast a quick glance at Minato. Seeing him so serious, she couldn't help but feel nervous.

He trains with Brother Seisui almost every day…

Even seeing Minato like this made her heart race.

At that moment, the dueling arena's restraints lifted.

On instinct, Minato tossed a kunai far away—a routine in his sparring matches with Yuki Seisui.

Whenever he fought Seisui, he always tossed a kunai far off.

It helped create distance quickly.

Seisui only smiled, making no attempt to stop him. With a clap of his hands, he summoned his sword.

Konan exchanged a glance with Minato, then opened her red umbrella. In an instant, she disappeared, the spinning umbrella surging toward Seisui.

Any touch from this umbrella could cause serious damage.

This was her jutsu: Dance of the Shikigami: Umbrella.

As the umbrella spun, the razor-sharp edges of the paper left deep and shallow scratches across the ground—stretching endlessly.

Minato's eyes widened. Besides Yahiko, he didn't know the exact strength of his other juniors.

Even Yahiko's power had only been understood in the Land of Rain.

Seeing Konan now, he realized his three juniors were stronger than he had expected.

If Seisui knew Minato's thoughts, he would probably mock him.

Jiraiya might be a pervert, always sneaking into bathhouses and hot springs, but his teaching skills were top-notch.

Who were his students? Yahiko, Nagato, Konan, Minato, and Naruto Uzumaki.

Excluding Yahiko, who died early, the others were at least Kage-level powerful.

Even Yahiko had been an elite jonin before his death.

Seisui had taught them for three years. Konan might not have reached elite jonin yet, but she was at least an ordinary jonin in strength.

Now, influenced by Seisui, she had already developed the Dance of the Shikigami and supporting jutsu.

With just the Dance of the Shikigami, her abilities could be considered elite jonin-level.

The Dance of the Shikigami grants complete immunity to physical attacks. The paper itself is specially treated, highly resistant to fire and water.

Essentially, she had no weaknesses.

Her paper wings allowed her to fly. With enough explosive tags, she could potentially kill weaker Kage-level opponents on first sight.

Seisui watched Konan advance. He didn't meet her head-on, instead retreating slightly as his sword flashed from its scabbard.

Just as he was about to strike her umbrella, a trident kunai appeared behind him.

Minato had swapped positions with the kunai, pressing a Rasengan against Seisui's chest.

But the moment the Rasengan made contact, Seisui turned into smoke, and the wooden stake Minato had targeted shattered.

"Minato, you're sneaky." Seisui's voice came from behind him. He swung his sword, but Minato vanished in an instant—the strike missed.

Meanwhile, as Seisui prepared to cut Konan's umbrella, she dropped from above. The spinning umbrella halted mid-air, transforming into countless sheets floating around her.

"Dance of the Shikigami: Tornado!"

Her wings flapped, and a blood-red paper tornado surged toward Seisui.

Seisui smiled. "Iaijutsu: Flying Raijin Slash!"

The moment he spoke, Minato's face changed. He instantly appeared beside Konan, gripping her shoulder as they vanished together.

Those who had often been beaten by Seisui knew: without his buffs—no tailed beast, no sage mode—his Flying Raijin Slash was still deadly.

Sure enough, as Minato whisked Konan away, Seisui appeared like a phantom where she had been. The slash cut the air—missed entirely.

"Seisui, you're really tough!"

From a safe distance, Minato and the slightly scared Konan watched.

"But if you don't use all those buffs, you won't be able to beat us!" Minato said, hands behind his back, secretly marking Konan's paper with the Flying Raijin symbol.

Konan saw this but remained motionless. Once the mark was set, she merged with her paper.

Seisui descended from the sky, smiling.

"No need for small tricks. No matter what you throw at me, I'll break it with my own strength!"

He twirled his blade, vanished, and a massive strike followed.

"Iaijutsu: Wind Pressure!"

This slash could cut through jutsu. Minato knew it well.

Konan clasped her hands. Countless paper sheets gathered before her and Minato.

The sheets formed a giant over twenty meters tall. Her red color faded, replaced by pure white.

Three-meter white wings sprouted from her back, lifting her into the air.

The paper golem swung its strike toward Seisui.

Bang!

The slash met the paper golem, cutting it in half. The strike continued forward, though slowed considerably.

Minato smiled, leaping before the slash. "Konan!"

Floating, Konan understood immediately. She spread her hands:

At that moment, her wings expanded, and countless sheets attacked Seisui.
