Chapter 10 - System ? Nah

Beastglade, the Forest of Monsters, has long been a source of fascination and terror for adventurers and scholars alike. This enigmatic forest is home to a vast array of monsters, ranging from the lowliest F-rank creatures to the legendary S-rank beasts. The sheer diversity of monsters within its borders is astounding, and many have lost their lives attempting to explore its depths.

Despite its deadly reputation, Beastglade was once considered a playground for adventurers, a place where they could test their skills and rise through the ranks. However, over time, the forest's mysterious nature has only deepened, and many have begun to whisper that Beastglade is more than just a haven for monsters.

Two hundred years ago, a certain party of B rank went into the forest to explore and search for treasures, but while they explored, they never came back, due to this anomaly, The guild dispatched an A rank party to investigate

Led by an S rank adventurer, the party went to investigate the disappearance of the party, but what they encountered was overwhelming.

Normally the reasons while monsters are ranked based on the capabilities of an adventure and vice versa was due to the close gap in strength, but the investigation proved that monsters were starting to adapt and evolve.

During that time, lots of unusual things happened.

For example, a goblin beating the heck out of a C rank adventurer or their intelligence improving to the extent that they began to hold adventurers hostages .

After some months, the first Monster Horde came, this was why There were strong walls that served as defense for that kind of situation currently.

Back then Everett suffered a catastrophic loss, not only did citizens died, buildings were destroyed, the city was nearly razed to the ground.

Only the Descendants of the heroes were able to put an end to this, they were none other than the Silfords.

...

Yet, Arlott sent them straight there, what was he even thinking ?, Leon thought.

While they were only there to slay some goblins , the rumors and and lores surrounding the forest was more than enough for them to be frightened.

Due to this, they had to be careful, since they were still kids.

This was why he couldn't help but click his tongue when Julian was rushing in without caution.

He sighed, His attendant Lylia will have her hands full.

His sister, Lily on the other hand, proceeded with caution, as she drew her bow in a perfect stance while making steps forward, even though there was no monster nearby.

Eventually, Julian followed suit, he wanted to scoff at this sudden sense of caution but he had to restrain himself from doing so.

Lena on the other hand kept her hands close to her rapier, while she scanned the forest, or at least their surroundings, her eyes glowed running through everything surrounding them .

Still though, Leon couldn't help but wonder, they were all seven, yet they were already facing this level of danger.

'Even back on earth, what was I doing by seven' he thought, but then, 'Earth ?, what is that, a place ?'

He was confused, he didn't know why but he felt that there were a lot of things running through his mind, yet he couldn't identify them, he decided not to focus on it for now.

Unlike the rest of them though, he had nothing to fear, still though, he decided to check.

His Sapphire eyes glowed, he could see everything, his sight kept expanding and expanding.

He could see everything, however a certain presence blocked his view.

By instinct he turned to the direction

'Interesting ' He thought, That side was supposed to lead to a wolves den, yet such strong presence emanated from the direction, not only that but he could feel some strong energies in the forest.

'They're likely the rulers of this forest'

" Goblins are said to be west right ?" Leon asked Lena,

Ye... Just as she was about to answer, Julian cut him off.

"Of course it is, don't you know something so basic, are you that dumb ? " He replied, he will never cease an opportunity to pick a fight with Leon.

"This brat..., he's really begging for a punch" Leon muttered.

They already crossed west and were heading straight following Lylia instructions, while Arlott gave them each attendants, it wasn't only to ensure their protection.

This attendants were meant to air them in this quest and offer any assistance possible when needed, they were also meant to record their actions and report to him straight after the quest.

As he was reviewing his knowledge, they were already approaching a Goblin cave so he created a few frost birds, these weren't ordinary ones, since he willed them to life.

His siblings prepared to engage, Afterall, Goblins were in sight.

He quickly let his birds fly, even though they were few, they were enough to cover the whole of Beastglade.

Leon wasn't here to sightsee, he was trying to gather as much information as possible since he will soon...

As soon as the birds flew to different directions, his siblings were already in battle.

"I wouldn't wanna be a pushover and join them, let's just sit back and watch" but first, he activated his defense technique.

"Not that anyone will notice" he muttered.

Just as he was about to focus on his siblings battle and annoying sound chimed in.
