Chapter 288 - Chapter 290: Isn't Skipping Class Normal Here?

"What exactly are you?"

Yui Kotegawa was a little confused at that moment. After all, who exactly was this person?

"Emm..."

"Someone with a little money, or you could say your future husband. Are you satisfied with that explanation?"

The first part was obviously teasing, while the second part instantly made her look at Shiro with an indignant gaze. This man truly said whatever came to mind.

"Is there something wrong with what I said? Or do you not want to marry me in the future?"

Shiro took her outside, and the two of them sat down in a park. Then he playfully lifted her chin and spoke with a smile. After all, he was quite confident in his charm, not to mention that he could settle everything even without it.

The most important thing was that he had helped her so many times, and with the added influence of his charm, the answer was obvious. At that moment, she was looking at Shiro while her gaze drifted away slightly, mainly because she was too shy. What did his words mean? An open confession and proposal, or something else?

Yui Kotegawa was extremely flustered at that moment because she had never encountered anything like this before.

"Y-You... Don't talk nonsense! What future husband? We're just classmates."

Yui Kotegawa looked panicked at that moment and immediately defined their relationship, but in Shiro's eyes, that was complete nonsense.

"Oh~"

"Since that's how you define it, then that's fine. Let it stay that way. A classmate you can hug and kiss whenever you want is perfectly acceptable."

Shiro released her chin, acting as though he agreed with her, which left her somewhat confused. After collecting herself, she realized that he had truly accepted the title of "classmate" and did not consider himself one of those so-called lovers. Thinking about it, she puffed out her cheeks, put on a serious expression, and carefully stared at Shiro.

Shiro found her expression very amusing.

Then, under her serious gaze, he kissed her again.

Yui Kotegawa looked around. This was a park. Although there was no one nearby, they were still outside. She hadn't expected this man to do something like that in broad daylight. Instinctively, she began hitting him, but unfortunately, her strength was soft and weak like a lamb's, without the slightest force.

After they separated, her face was completely red. Then she spoke in a shy tone and accused him:

"This is outside, and you broke your promise."

"How did I break my promise? I'm only sensible in places like this. It's not like I'm constantly causing trouble."

Shiro immediately entered his mode of playing dumb. Seeing Shiro pretending not to understand, she could only hit his chest a few times, but discovered that it was like hitting a steel plate.

"Alright, alright, stop hitting me. Come on, let's go somewhere else."

"My little wife."

Yui Kotegawa once again experienced what it was like to be directly grabbed by the hand and dragged along. Honestly speaking, she had already given up arguing about such things. After all, as long as he was happy, she couldn't oppose him at all.

Of course, she was still somewhat dissatisfied with the way he addressed her. What "little wife"? She had never agreed to such a thing. Strictly speaking, they weren't even boyfriend and girlfriend; this guy was simply taking advantage of her without any official title.

Shiro paid attention to her inner thoughts and listened to her heart. Because of that, he thought to himself:

"Well, isn't that exactly what you want!"

Shiro had previously taken her around the amusement park for a while. Honestly speaking, appearing there in school uniforms at this time of day clearly showed that they were skipping classes, but Shiro simply didn't care.

Yui Kotegawa was a little embarrassed at first, but then she noticed that they weren't the only ones wearing school uniforms, which left her quite confused.

"Are all these people skipping class?"

Yui Kotegawa looked at all those people in school uniforms along the way, and her worldview was somewhat shaken.

"Isn't this normal?"

Shiro said that in a strange tone, as though he considered such things completely normal.

However, as soon as she heard that, she immediately replied:

"How is that normal? Don't forget that classes are still in session and that all of them have skipped class!"

Shiro knew what kind of person she was. After hearing her words, he thought for a moment and pointed at himself and then at her.

"Is that normal for people like us? Honestly speaking, they're either ordinary truants belonging to the lowest tier, or they're so bored that they came out to relax, or they have various other reasons."

"So there's no need to make a big deal out of it. Different people have different experiences."

Yui Kotegawa didn't know what to say after hearing that. Although it made a lot of sense, for some reason it still felt a little strange to her. In the end, she decided to stop thinking about it.

"Forget it, I have no right to interfere in other people's affairs!"

Yui Kotegawa sighed and said that in a calm tone. After all, she knew very well that those were other people's matters. How could she interfere?

"Aah..."

Yui Kotegawa was now hiding in Shiro's embrace, trembling and screaming.

If someone had seen her, they definitely would have said that she was completely different from her usual strict and serious image.

Shiro felt quite good at that moment. Looking at the dark surroundings, this haunted house was truly good. At the very least, it had succeeded in scaring this girl.

Shiro recalled her expression before entering and really wanted to laugh. She was obviously very scared, yet she stubbornly insisted that she wasn't. A normal person would probably have been very considerate and said that they didn't need to go inside, but Shiro wasn't normal. When he heard her say that she wasn't afraid of such things and noticed her condition, he pulled her inside without hesitation.

Yui Kotegawa trembled the entire way through, forcing herself to stay calm and not lose face. However, to her misfortune, when a sudden sound rang out, Shiro couldn't help laughing.

After all, he knew she was afraid, yet he still did something like this, obviously wanting to break down her defenses.

Yui Kotegawa finally endured it until the end and came out of the frightening haunted house.

After coming out, she still looked somewhat shaken. Then she found a place to sit down and took a sip. The sweet milk tea she had bought was the only thing that made her feel even a little better.
